That's funny. Maybe she was happy just to keep the gap under 20.

13 turnovers today must be deemed good. That would include any of the offensive charge calls. This is one stat showing improvement from a few weeks ago. This is a very positive trend. When the women were playing good to great ball in the first half, there were only 2 turnovers. This coming week will be a challenging week on the road in Indiana. It would be great to shoot (like today) 48% from the field, 81% at the foul line, commit 12 TOs, and outrebound both of those teams during the upcoming week.. The Jackrabbits are allowing .355% FG for the conference. The SDSU women have shot 43% the first half of the conference. 7-0 in the second half of the conference might be more difficult, but it is not improbable with the pace of the women increasing.

It was encouraging to see Paluch and Waytashek break out with big scoring games. And Boever also , although it was an abnormality for her. It's good to get big contributions from the bench , but as we go down the stretch towards tournament time , the starters need to score like they did today.

I seen that as well. Think of the arrogance it takes to try and hush the crowd when you just miss one of two free throws and your getting your butt handed to your. I hope I never see that from either of our Jackrabbit teams. If I were the coach I would have pulled her and had a sportsmanship discussion with her.

Good win. To be honest I was a touch worried about this game. The Jacks had been playing just well enough to win.

Were there fouls in this game? Yes! Were there 60 or so in this game no. By this time in the season the officiating should be someone consistent. The players, coaches and fans were all confused as to just what was being called as a foul. Its got to be impossible to play in a game officiated in this manner. Its certainly not fun to watch a parade to the free throw line.

All said and done it was a good win for the Jacks.

And how Harrington acted on the bench after fouling out was nothing short of embarrassing...

Johnston benched Clarin for a game because she wanted more minutes so yeah there's no way that would be tolerated. Both the USD men and womens basketball teams showed how classy they were during the games.

I had to miss the second half so am just now watching the DVR recording. I was watching specifically for the "shushing of the crowd" by #24. That was really a stupid move.

After reading about all the fouls, I was tuned in to watch for the fouls being called. Have to admit there were a lot of fouls committed.

The only dumb thing about it was the situation. If she actually made a big play in a big situation, I'd have no problem with it. During one of the his early years, Alex Young made a play in Frost that completely shut the crowd up. I think he hit a 3 right as SDSU was making a run. He shushed the crowd on the way back. That doesn't bother me because it's in the right spot.

absolutely a lot of fouls-----a lot of DUMB fouls on both sides, too. i don't think either side adjusted well at all to how the game was being called.

anyone have an explanation on the flagrant foul call and "non-call"? i actually thought the calls should have been "flipped".

That short lady ref seems to be building a reputation for calling fouls, but I agree lots of dumb fouls. If you are ref and see them, what else can you do but blow the whistle? I thought the refs did a good job overall. Its no fun being a ref, and running up and down the court. You have to be in good physical shape, and not like "Cappy" Kaptin who like his beer better than reefing.

Megan Waytashek named Player of the Week for Mid Majors. She missed the Summit honor to NDSU Lemar.

Didn't watch the game, but I did watch the post game interviews. It looks to me like Harrington is the life of the party with that crew. I wonder how her teammates like playing with a crybaby? You could see her body language reeked of a bad attitude. None of us like to lose, but it appears she struggles more than most? Anyway - great weekend for the Jacks!

The culture at USD is way different than the culture at SDSU. Stu Whitney touched on it in his article yesterday. I don't know the best way to explain it except to say its obvious. From students with derogatory signs to adult fans in the stands berating Jackrabbit players, coaches and fans as the school president stands by and applauds; to the women's players wearing "Hate State" sweatshirts to the men's game; to the behavior of the PA announcer, the radio announcer and even the "halftime entertainment". I know the atmosphere, culture and attitude that I prefer for myself and my family.

USD was completely outclassed in Brookings Sunday. The officials did a horrible job, there is no way around that. AJ said as much in his post-game interview. Players have made adjustments, officials need to interpret the new rules properly.

Jackrabbits are playing well right now and have a huge road trip this week. It is conceivable that SDSU could finish 0-2 if they don't come out with intensity and execute a game plan.

If the atmosphere, culture and attitude is so bad at USD, why did you attend med school there?
