Was it Joe VanGoor (JVG)? I assume so. He is the epitome of a homer announcer. You should hear him do a football game.

I was there, great job by the Jackrabbits. Made some uncharacteristically bad decisions and passes down the stretch but made up for it with great defense and intensity. Megan Waytashek is one hell of an athletic and great basketball player on both ends. She also has an excellent BB IQ, floor sense. Eide is scrappy and never rattled. Same for Gabby. Post players are improving every week. This team has great upside and should defend the Summit League tourney championship.

I think someone said earlier that it was Rod Pattison. I know Rod. He's a nice guy. He also did DWU games now and then and blamed the officials all the time. He could be a better announcer if he would worry about the game instead of the bad calls his team are getting.

although, i did check in to 91 once in awhile. very difficult to understand the announcing of the game, but, i was able to make out the score once in awhile.

I listened to the usd radio station as well and that was the worst commentary of a game I have ever heard. What a whiner, the Lady Jacks "were hanging all over them the whole game" and we "traveled" but it was never called...........ridiculous! Nice win for the Lady Jacks!

Why is everyone listening to USD Radio? I think they have a Jackrabbit network available but I suppose it does not include WNAX. Okay I get it.

Something obviously needs to be done about WBB radio coverage. Any suggestions? Should we all send complaint emails to someone? I've been caught in the car during a WBB game and struggled to get a clear signal even in the Mitchell area. It sounds like the same is true in Sioux Falls, which is even more ridiculous.

Registering complaints will do no harm, but I suspect its about budget and making it through this year. Why they cut WNAX out of it is a mystery, but I suspect it was a necessary one from a budget angle. Broadcast and radio is about money and is likely to be that way for a long time. It makes you wonder how much Jumptv revenue is raised and where it goes. Since I choose to be home bound this year, I purchased Jumptv. It worked okay last night, but if you are on the road, its no good unless they could put it out on Sirus radio, which would be no doubt very expensive.

Congrats on the big win today. Amy Williams should not have called this "just another game" as that lingo doesn't show positive results in the matchup of these two schools. You will see a much better Coyote team in Sioux Falls that is "if" the Jacks make the finals.

I guess it just depends on the coach. Coaches Nagy and Williams seem to make it out as "just another game", AJ put a little into it but coach Boots treats it like it's their "super bowl". This game probably decided who will be the top seed in the conference tourney but other than that, it's just 1 conference game.
I guess there is a chance that the Jacks don't make the finals but there is a better chance that the Coyotes don't make the finals. The Jacks play the lower seeds and have that been there done that thing going on while it will be new to USD and they will play tougher teams(depending on match-ups).

I think this year we might have the "home court" advantage because some USD fans might not have got their tickets early enough but, after this year, USD should have just as much of a advantage. I don't know about next year but the year after that there should be plenty of seats around for everyone. Most teams blame it on distance but USD can't do that.

Small correction MR: about the calls his team are getting that he THINKS are bad (translation: all the calls and all the non-calls). It was humorous to watch what was happening and hear him say what he thought was happening...but actually, his performance was pathetic. I doubt that even Coyote fans want a total buffoon as their radio announcer.

I think it will even out a bit for 2014 also, but I don't think you'll find anyone who questions which fan base is stronger in number or more engaged. Attendence numbers for MBB, WBB, and football all demonstrate this clearly. Hopefully we will continue to snatch up more of those Summit League tickets than USD does.

Yeah in SF and you cant get a womens bball game on the radio is sad. What are we the 1910s. i blame mirror scheduleing and i think emails should be sent to SDSU, the confrence, radio stations who are apart of their network and let them know they are not getting it done well enough. I dont get why even a SF station cant carry it, their are plently here that could cover some of the gap areas where the current network doesnt cover. maybe its not worth it and costs to much to broadcast or something but its messed up if you ask me.
