Bigger body, strong true post, can score back to the basket, or move out. She won't get pushed around much in the post.

How is her ability to run the floor ? The Jacks seem to like taking advantage of their posts beating their opponent up the floor for lay-ups like Clarin has been doing.

In that regard, Clarin is more like a PF ,and has the body more suited to be quicker and run the floor faster.IMO

Exactly Clarin is playing out of position when she is the post. She makes up for it with the athletic ability and her quickness but when she gets stuck in the post trying to score thats where she struggles sometimes, so someone who is more a true post player who plays that style is sort of something we havent had a lot of. I dont think it would be an issue to itergrate her play into his system.

in case you are interested, a little info on Madison Guebert: Jim Paulson (writes for StarTrib's Girls Basketball Hub) wrote in late January that he had Madison Guebert #1 for Metro Player of the Year (it's possible things have changed, but, still)

also, some stats: 14th total points, 27th in ppg, 6th in 3 pointers made, 48th in assists.

            Eastview 18-0, 25-1 overall.

if she adjusts to college game as well as MM did, gonna be really fun next year!

That's from last season - Minnesota's state girl's tourneys aren't for another week.

When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important than the name on the back.

Eastview won their semifinal game over St. Micheal/Albertville by 18, I think. Madi Guebbert fouled out in 2nd half with 7 pts, actually increased the lead after she fouled out. Would have been nice to have recruited their post player (to Michigan). Madi had a rough game, maybe will bounce back against Hopkins. Will have to or get smothered like all the rest. Ball security issues, missed layups, etc.
