I beleive the contract is up for bid every 3. Might not be Nike after this year.

It's a 5 year deal (signed in 2007), and it will probably continue to be Nike, as they have pretty generous terms and hefty name recognition. I don't know that the agreement costs SDSU anything, apart from a binding agreement to purchase certain items exclusively from Nike (and probably at an inflated price vs. buying it from a retailer).

Under Armour is getting to be a very large player in this type of market. I agree. I like Under Armour as well - as long as its in Jacks colors.

I got a really nice UnderArmour pullover with a Jackrabbit logo on it for Christmas. UA makes some cool stuff.

Under Armour can't really compete at the BCS level schools, but has wanted to break into the mid-majors, and put in a very good bid to get SDSU to switch. Personally, I think Under Armour's sports clothing is better quality than Nike, and I'm pleased we will be using their stuff.

Like someone else said before, as long as there are "Jackrabbits. Just Do It." shirts at the bookstore, I'm happy. But is that possible? If we have a contract with UA, we can't sell Nike stuff can we?
