Here's the Kansas State website's story on KSU's home-court 60-34 win over Wichita State Wednesday night:

Here's Wichita State's version of the same game...note the poor shooting percentage and huge number of rebounds.

K-State comes to Frost sitting 5-2 for the season with wins over Dartmouth, BYU, Missouri State, Iowa and Wichita and losses to Hofstra and Purdue. All five wins were on the home court and the two losses were on the road (at the Cancun Challenge).

Last season the Jackrabbits lost at KSU's Bramlage Coliseum, 56-51. Sure hope we have a great turnout and help KSU continue its road woes.

K State's Brittany Chambers, who scored her 1,000th point tonight, is a former HS teammate of Leah Dietel's.

Chambers can light it up. watched a number of KSU games. she's one of those that can be "sneaky" too---a player can go up to the statistician all giddy (thinking she/they are holding Chambers in check) and ask "how we doin?"---and you get the news, "she's got 20---so far".

wonder if eide/heiser will take turns guarding her?

Looked at some box scores. These K-State women can get into foul trouble.

Worst performance was a close game vs. Missouri State, where they had two starters foul out and two starters finish the game with four fouls. At least one starter fouled out in three of the four games I looked at. I think there's going to be a lot of fouls called today.

I wish I could warn their coach ahead of time: You will not like the officiating here. But we like it even less because we have to put up with sooooo much more of it.

Yes,everytime a person drives to the hoop and puts up a shot and someone brushes up against them to offer a little resistance, doesn't make it a foul. It's comical when the whistle goes off before the defender barely gets there.

I am a little worried about attendance at this game just because it's the weekend before finals, which could hurt the number of students that will attend. I am a student and am going a long with two aunts, one uncle, mom, dad, two kids, grandma, and grandpa. So judging from my own family there is plenty of intrest from allumni so hope fully that will make up for the timing of a pretty big game.

It's like you're quoting from the Summit League Officiating Manual: "Every time a defender touches an offensive player, it is a foul."

Off topic alert (kind of): In last nights Dell Rapids/West Central boys game there were 50 fouls called...15 in the 1st quarter. It was BRUTAL to watch.

Finally scored more than four points this first half!
