Can't we have a good old fashioned blow out game anymore?Way to go Jacks!
We could, but why play the RPI 250+ teams when we can play top 100 teams OOC? The ultimate goal is to hopefully be such a top team that Jacks go to NCAA whether win Summit or not. IMHO, Summit will be tough enough top 3 or 4, to maybe get a look. Need to be 9-2 or better OOC, though to make that happen though.

I don't think the Summit has a chance to get two teams in the tournament - the only way would be for a team to have the kind of season the Jacks had three years ago, only to lose in the conference tourney.
I was at the game and I thought it was a good game to watch and a good win for the Jacks. WSU was very athletic, very fast. They played real tough defense with a lot of contact resulting in lots of fouls. Our shooting percentage from the field was less than desirable but some of the blame/credit for that goes to the Cougars.
This goes in the quality-win category. AJ noted post-game that WSU is much improved over last year as they continue to build their program.
Fun game to watch in the end. Attendance was 1,596 fans and they did a pretty good job of getting loud when it was their job to be loud.
Based on the RPI of the entire Summit League it would be next to impossible to get more than one team in the NCAA. Maybe, just MAYBE Oral Roberts would be good enough this year if they did not win the Summit tournament.
Second place team in the Summit goes to the NIT automatically.

Crowd sucked. And to the guy who turned around and glared at my 4 year old when he yelled "Go Rabbits" a few times. **** YOU and your wife is ugly. I will take my spanking now. Game was good!
Got to love home cookin' We must have gone to the stripe 40 times. Didn't have to make the girlfriend dinner when we got home, had enough "home cookin" at Frost.
Just in the crowd: One of our favorite Bison or Coyote fans reappears -- welcome back.
Stats show 27 fouls were called on WSU and 18 were called on SDSU. I was at the game and it was rough. WSU came in with a plan to attempt to stop certain things the Jacks do well and it worked to a degree. The downside was the risk of a greater number of fouls. Watch the post-game interview with WSU's coach. She talks about what they wanted to accomplish in the game. She notes the number of fouls called messed with the rhythm of the game but she doesn't register a complaint similar to Just in the crowd's comment.

Its about time we got some good "home cookin" like the other team gets when we play on the road

Didn't see the game, but I generally feel that Summit Officials (both in Men's and Women's) blow their whistle way too much and anticipate calls rather than actually seeing them.
That said, one of the dumbest things I hear from coaches and fans throughout a basketball game is "even out the fouls ref". If one team is fouling more than the other, they don't deserve to have the fouls "evened out".
Establish a standard for what is a foul, and if the contact exceeds it, a ref should call it regardless of how many fouls can been called previously. Having a 7 to 4 difference in fouls does not mean the team with 4 fouls is held to a different standard than the team with 7.

I agree with you, unfortunately, many refs see the numbers and subconsciously start to even out the calls,(plus the fact that the coach on the short end of the stick starts lobbying for the calls to even out)I think that's why its misconsrued that "the calls even out"I think just in the crowd is trying to diminish our ladies well deserved, hard fought victory.
