    btw Mitchell won 61-48. Play SF Washington tomorrow for the title.
    Only a few points back for most points scored in championship rounds of AA girls tournament set back in 1981. She almost set it in 2 games

      [QUOTE=MontanaRabbit;250612]Shes gonna be special.

      I couldn't help thinking the same thing last night. Dare I say she has a Nate quality about her. Her demeanor and smoothness shows a level maturity beyond her years. I look forward to 4 years of her in blue and gold!

        I watched last night and am tuned into the championship game now. I definitely can see the "smoothness" that jackedforlife mentioned. She knows how to get to the rim and has very nice touch on the ball. She looks right at home on that Frost Arena court too - lots of points to come there. Just now she got a big block and then ran down and hit a buzzer-beater at the end of the first quarter. That shot broke the tournament scoring record.

          Well ,the magic ran out,the shots that fell in the semi's didn't in the Championship game.That happens,but good tournament for Macy,looking forward to seeing her play as a Jackrabbit.

          Hats off to WHS,they played tough Defense and came out with more energy to start the game.Kind of reminded me of our game with USD in some ways.

            I believe I saw Ashley Eide helping out on the Washington bench.

              She is a volunteer coach. Must have been fun for her to come back to coach her high school where she had a great career and to come back to brookings to watch her team win it there must be a pretty cool experience.

                Absolutely nothing wrong with your eye sight. It was Ashley. She looked pretty comfortable on the side lines. She will make some school and GBB program one great teacher and coach. I've had the chance to meet Ashley a number of times and what a great young lady. Not that she would be in line for the SFW job but there was some talk that head coach Malchow is taking on some other responsibilities?

                  I was wondering what that might be implying too. Mike H has posted some before. Wonder if he had 2 cents to share.

                    AD at Washington is retiring. Some think Malchow will apply and get the position. If he were to get the AD position he would no longer coach.

                      Was wondering about that. Probably a nice pay increase. Wayne carney was ad when I was a student there. Haven't kept up with whs as much as I would have liked.

                        She also set the for points in season with 768. The record was 766 held by Jill Young. Her 38 first round point broke the previous record of 34. Her 40 in the semis fell just short of Steph Scheuler's 43. She's going to be a great Jackrabbit.

                          She just missed tying the tournament scoring record (all classes) by 1 pt finishing at 103 compared to the record holder Alex Kneeland from Summit who finished at 104.

                            From Stu Whitney: Nate Malchow steps down as coach and will be activities director at Washington.

                                Class AA girls beat Class A girls 85-63 in the three class shootout. Anybody have the individual stats?
