ORU will have an increase in attendance next season. We host Missouri, New Mexico, and cross town rival Tulsa at home.

I'm sure you will for those games. What is alarming is the creative accounting ORU seems to utilize for counting fans. How long has that been going on?

Lol? What are you talking about? I know you guys are new to D1 athletics but that's still pretty ignorant.

There are butts in the seats. ORU and God are tight; all deceased ORU alumni are allowed to attend games once they reach the after life.

What you may not understand is that SDSU comes from a very ethical tradition that uses turnstiles to count attendence and does not include promotion tickets unless they come through the turnstile, season ticket holders that are no shows do not count. Turnstiles tell the real story and what has been reported by ORU and what you see by your eyeballs are two different numbers. Some of your reported attendence are very questionable. Thats all. BTW what ever happened to Richard Roberts?

Was Richard the one who spoke to God and was told to lock himself in that space needle thing (I've actually been inside there) until people coughed up X amount of dollars, or was that Oral himself?

Is the Casa Bonita still alive and kicking down there?

                      PG-Wolters (6'3 Fr)
                      SG-Callahan (6'2 Sr)
                      SF-Williams (6'6 Sr)
                      PF-Rader (6'8 rFr)
                      PF-Cordova (6'7 Jr)

                      Bench
                      PG-Moss (6'4 Jr) - Palarca (5'11 Jr)
                      SG-Sargent (6'4 Jr)
                      G/F-White (6'7 Fr) - Gr. Callahan (6'4 So)
                      PF-Fiegen (6'7 Fr) - Cassaday (6'6 So)
                      PF-Engen (6'11 Sr)

Sargent, White, Fiegen and Callahan all coming off the bench would make for a pretty solid bench/9 man rotation.
I think Sargent would have to be a starter just with how well his shooting has been. I give the start to him but the other could all via for minutes off the bench. Id say Wolters just by the hype we have heard could earn minutes but to be able to lead the team as a PG I would give callahan that nod. He showed flashes of greatness if you ask me. Think ORU tourny game. It would be nice for him to have a solid back up in wolters who could learn off the bench but still get solid minutes. Garrett just got to worn out, this will give him a chance for a good breather and maybe move over to shooting guard also give some other guys a rest. This team has the ability to play a short line up and a long line up with differing players in different spots. Moss could also be listed as a SG even though he isnt a great shooter compared to the others his athleticism could make some big problems for another teams guards. I like the posibilities that this team can move players around and find match ups in our favor finally instead of it being the other way around.

                      pg G Callahan
                      sg Sargent
                      sf Williams
                      pf Rader or fiegen
                      c Cordova

With Wolters and others ready to come of the bench quickly if the starters are not getting the job done.

I feel that the 4 out of the 5 starters are already set:

                        Cordova (5)
                        Williams (3/4)
                        Sargent (1/3)
                        Gar. Callahan (2)

I don't see any scenario besides an injury, at least at the start of the season, that will make Nagy not start any of these four, and the reason is the versatility amongst Sargent and Williams.

                        If Wolters or Palarca steps into the starting roll, Kai will be the 4 and Clint will be the 3;

                        If it's White or Moss, Clint will be at the point and Kai at the 4;

if it's Rader or Fiegen, Kai will move to the 3 and Clint will be at the 1.

Clint is too important to our offense (14.1 ppg) not to have him start, as there were many times last year that he was the only one stepping up and hitting shots. He's been starting since he was a freshman as well and is a gamer, he won't allow anyone to pass him on the depth chart.
If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.

We all know Sarg can play. Heck, off the top of my head, wasn't he the lead scorer in the Minnesota and Iowa State games? And both were great games for him I believe. That says alot right there. Just b/c you don't start doesn't mean you won't get alot of minutes. I just like his ability to light it up off the bench...but also understand why he should get the start.

If Sarg or Callahan or even Moss can be capable PG's then I say leave Wolters in a backup role all year and let him learn and contribute.

With that said, it's going to be alot of fun in the future to have three potential PG's starting in Wolters, Carlson and White.

the best players will play.... who knows, I would guess that the upper classman will get every chance to start...... but minutes will go to whoever is hot, and what type of matchups they require.....

I don't recall his point total against Oakland in Frost, but Sargent was a MAN late in the game. I like his ability to hit big shots.

I think the men's team will look a lot more like the women's team next year.

Lots of starting lineups, lots of looks on the court, and a goal of developing a strong lineup of multifaceted guard-forwards.

There will be differences, of course, but I think AJ's hit on the best way to win in D-1 with local talent--regardless of gender: fundamentally sound play from good shooters who are willing to split time and play multiple roles.
