The coaches are putting them in a position to win and the players have to take the torch to the finish line.... I think the second half will show what this team is made of.... If the players want it they'll have to take control, they'll have to win atleast 1 game next week and would help a lot if they won both...

There is no reason this team can't go 6-3 or better the rest of the way. Expect it and it will happen.

This game was 38/45ths of a good effort.

Therefore, it was NOT a good effort.

Let's try it again on Thursday night!

A loss like that should hurt. Bad. Too many wins are being left on the court. It's getting old. I'm sure the team feels the same way and all. I'm just losing patience and have run out of sympathy. It's time for wins. Now. Plain and simple. No excuses. Get the job done instead of letting it slip away. The time for complete, consistent effort and execution past due. Until then...I'll be waiting.

How many more wins will it take to get into the conference tournament? 3 or 4 possibly.
During the post game interviews you could see it in AC and Nagy that this game really hurt. They won't say it but in the body language and looks on their faces said it all. But like it was said before this game is over and its time to move on to the next. The guys can taste victory, it's not that far away, and I think they will keep fighting and finally start to get them. IPFW look out it's going to start with you.
And in a GeorgeBushism, we owe them a thumpin'

    Go Jacks

We need to crush the Bison tomorrow night. This is a statement game at home and we shouldn't let the Bison think they'll touch us in the next five years. The Bison may be our main rival in women's BB in the future and we need to put doubt in their minds that they'll ever be able to compete with the Jacks.

I know Coach Nagy feels he has him team prepared for game ending situations BUT. There is no way you should not use your last time out with 10 seconds left to set up a play and make sure each and every player was on the same page. It would have also allowed the Jacks to get AC back in the game for a put back. Better yet get him the damn BALL! Granted, not a good free throw shooter but I like our chances better with AC on the line for two FT vs a desperation 35 footer. This is a ball game we should have won. Good effort? Yes. Can't blame the players for lack of effort. I don't think we put them in the best possible position to win. Better stop before I say something I may regret.

Coach said they're not executing. I think that much was clear. Does anybody here really think Nagy diagrammed a play where Callahan takes a 32-foot shot with five seconds left? Can't blame the coaches for that. I'd say Nagy and his coaches had our players well prepared for this game.

Just got back from the game. Great effort. NDSU has a very weak bench after the top four guys. We're going to hand them their rear ends next year. This year, though, and in particular at the end of this game, we saw some very savvy seniors from NDSU take over the game while our slightly less experienced team struggled a little at crunch time. It hurts us when Cordova sits for those last two minutes because of his poor foul shooting. For the three minutes before that, we were getting layups because they were so concerned about AC. When he was out, we were forcing it, and they were able to play us straight up. If AC can become a solid free throw shooter, it'll really make a difference having him in as a threat on the offensive end at the end of games.

Woodside is simply the best player in the league. And it's not close. Winkelman just makes shots. He's not pretty, but he's long and fairly fleet afoot for his size. We did a great job on Nelson, who killed us last year.

What can you say? NDSU has an experienced and savvy team. Our guys played well enough to beat them, but it just didn't happen.

Great crowd and great energy in Frost tonight, though. Felt like old times.

Nagy said when he looked at the bench for the start of overtime he could see the discouragement in his players faces and felt like they were thinking about last weekend and that hurt them.
