I said that I would apologize if my source was incorrect and thats just what I did.  I'm sorry if you were offended by it in some way.  Someone else on this board said that if these rumors proved to be untrue that there would never be a word from me about it, well they were wrong about that. I have apologized for posting a rumor that turned out to be untrue.  What else do you want Milwaukeejack, should we take away my birthday?
As far as the half hearted shot at the State coaching staff, well take a joke.

This topic and his subsequent posts confirm my suspicions, buff is a jackass. Whenever you read a post from him remember that.

When someone spreads a false rumor, the person is usually banned from using the board or at the least suspended for a period of time.  Especially in this case when the rumor involves a specific individual that does not usually post on this site and that person then is required to post in an effort to defend himself.

Sports_buff, I don't care if you apologized to us on the board or not.  Your apology should be directed at Steve Holdren for making him defend himself on this board.

Take it easy NorCal, all I did was post a rumor that was going around and I even said that it was not a done deal, only something that I heard. Thanks to me posting this and getting it straightened out I have now been able to set the record straight to other people who thought it was true. Thanks to me people at NDSU will no longer be telling people that Holdren is transfering.
Don't you think it's a little over the top to support the banning of someone because they posted a rumor that turned out to not be true. That would mean that we would need to ban anyone who posted rumors that SDSU might get a certain recruit that they didn't end up getting. Rumors are posted all the time. How about when SDSUFAN was posting that Moeller only transfered because he wouldn't have had another year of eligibility at SDSU, that turned out to be false, should he be banned as well. Get real Norcal and don't be so sensitive.

You did not post a rumor that was going around, in fact your first post does not mention that it was a rumor at all.  Your first post makes it sound like you were posting a fact, not a rumor.

I will not reveal or retract. I don't mean to come across like these things are done deals. We'll see in time if my source knows what the heck he is talking about.  Maybe he'll turn out to be not as reliable as I think he is.  Like you guys said earlier, these rumors often go around, and many don't turn out to be true. I was just reporting what I heard.  Maybe it's premature, but I wanted to see if anyone else had heard the same thing.  Thats why we have these boards.  These rumors get posted and people who are more in the know either verify them or totally shoot them down.  I would think Milwjack's cousin should know whats going on, so maybe milwaukeejack will get on here and set us all straight.

I think this whole post was started to garner attention and get reaction. I guess sports_buff accomplished both which was his mission from the beginning. If you don't want to contribute meaningful dialogue and are here to just show your contempt for SDSU go create a USD Board and engage like minds!

Hey pal, I did not start a rumor about Moeller.
Moeller on his own decided to transfer to MSUM and it was harmless speculation on why he had left SDSU. I dont see how it harmed Andy Moeller as he went on to have a good season at MSU-M.

It was all about a mistaken interpretation of rules. One other poster on this board, stated the orignal comment that Moeller did not have eligilbilty left at SDSU and that is why he left. I bought into his comment for which I later regretted.

This comment had nothing to do with what Moeller did or not do in leaving SDSU.

To compare these comments which I did apologize for when I found out from a very reliable source that I was wrong, is totally ridiculous. For you, Sports Bluff, to make a comparison with your total untruth is stupid and insulting.

You do owe Steve Holdren an apology by the way. When will that be posted?

It was unfortunate that it was'nt under different circumstances. But it is nice to hear from our athletes. I don't think its news to anyone but you guys/girls are greatly admired and held in the highest regard with the SDSU fans that post on this board. Whether its Steve Holdren or Melissa Pater or any current or past athlete your words carry a lot more weight than anyone's and we love to hear from you!!
On a second note I coincidentally ran into one of our current mens bb players last week at a baseball game. after talking with him, I can't wait to see this years team compete, a lot of optimism and fire in that young man... So to Steve and the rest of the team I'll be there in Champaign in November to cheer you guys on !!

Steve, sorry that I posted on here that I heard you were transfering. Instead of allowing the rumor to continue I posted it on here to get to the bottom of the story and thats what I have done. I have now set other people straight who had heard the same thing. Sorry if this thread has put any undue pressure on you or caused you any embarrassment in any way. Good luck next season.

It's alright, my AAU coach was actually called at the end of this year by lots of the schools that recruited me out of high school like Butler, Ball State, Illinois State, UW-Green Bay, and Wis-Mil to see if I was transfering, so I think thats where a lot of that rumor started......thanks for being such great fans you make the game more fun to play.......Steve Holdren #40
