I'll be listening to WNAX in between rounds at the hospital. It would be nice to take an early lead. Intensity is really the key here. I hope Loney is back with Blake.

My cousin is playing tonight for DSU. I hope he does really well, and scores a lot in a tremendously lopsided Jacks victory.

The webcast is up, the beer's at my side, Extreme Home Makeover is on the TV, Loney just hit a 3.

        Life is good.

Yackley puts up a 3. Nice to see some other guys getting into the offense. Nagy said in the pre-game he wanted both Loney and Kai Williams to be more aggressive on offense.

Another mini-run. Need tough defense and rebounding, we can open this thing up. Oh yeah, running a little bit now. Handle the ball.

23-9 TO by DSU. Hit them hard now, don't let up. Defense and rebounding, the points will come.

                    Re: SDSU vs. Dakota State

I have just the start of a feeling that this is a team that's going to come together as a team, in a way that we haven't seen for a couple of years.

They're still real young, so the wins might take a while to start coming against D-I competition, but for the first time in a long time I've really got a sense that this is a team with real possibilities, especially when they get Callahan back to run the point.

                      26-9 Jacks

Gotta get back on Defense, they have burnt the Jacks once for points, and 2 other times where they missed the lay up.

28-13, crucial 5 minutes for DSU right here. They will be trying to limit our possesions and close within 10 before the half. We need to be patient and take good shots, run when its there and rebound.

                          Re: SDSU vs. Dakota State

Darn good thus far.  Killing them on the boards (24-8), fewer turnovers, much better shooting percentage and a 19 point lead with about 3 minutes to play.

Kai with the slam on the oop from Casey.  Nice.

39-20 now. Just need to work on those plays that Nagy wanted them to work on . . .

                              Re: SDSU vs. Dakota State

Couple of bad turnovers and poor shot selection lets them close the gap some. Loney misses the front end. DSU is still in this thing, we couldn't close the half in a strong fashion. Reflection of the inexperience. It will get better.

41-29 at the half, shouldn't be that close.

                                Just to apply a little perspective . . .

This is an NAIA school we're playing . . . we should be ripping off multiple 10-0 and 12-3 runs on them--that kind of thing. Maybe we'll see some of that in the second half.

It should not be as close as 12 points at halftime. It should be more like 20, at least.

(/reality check, but perhaps a little greedy)
