According to Cadsev we have a 6'7" kid from Colorado (who shoots lights out) committed from the class of '08, and we have verbals from 6'6" White & Fiegen from Madison from the class of '09.

Possible, if the guys returning go out over the off-season and work their butts off in the weight room and practice about three hours of free throws per day . . .

I'm cautiously optimistic about a better than .500 record next year. I think we should be pretty competetive in the Mid-Con.

A .500 season would be a reasonable goal for next year. I don't think we Jacks fans should set an expectation of anything less. ... A win tonight would help set the tone.

I think 500 plus /minus two wins would be both a good year and realistic given the last two. Still not up to our NCC standards, but good progress.

                Need a history lesson:

in the past 25 years, how many quality 6'9 players or taller have we had?

Well, let's go to the Media Guide for 1,000 point scorers of 6-9 or more:

                  Bob Winzenberg, 78-82 was 6-9
                  Cullen Ober, 86-90 was 6-10
                  Steve Lingenfelter, 79-81 was 6-9
                  Jim Walker, 78-80 was 6-9
                  Cory Vandewettering 90-94 was 6-9

So the answer appears to be -- very few.

                      Thanks Filbert!

Would you qualify them as quality or end of the bench type guys? Have we ever dressed a 6'11 or 7 footer?

                      GO JACKS!!

We had a 7 foot center from Pierre I think in the 1970's. Don't remember his name off-hand.

The other guys I mentioned (as I edited my first post) were all 1,000 point scorers (some in two years) so yeah, they were quality.

Pete Leiferman, Kurt Meister? Do they make the 25-year, 6-9 all-mention team?
