Like I said, if he left I would not care at all. I just don't think our program has a very high ceiling with Richman as coach, he has success but it is limited.
I think Richman is a very good X's and O's coach, but not overall great at running a program.

I've just never gotten a good vibe from him or seen anything from his players that makes it seem they enjoy playing for him.

and does anyone know did they have an offer for the NIT this year?? i assume they had offers from other tournaments
Almost certain they haven't since 2003

I don't get this... it's like telling your girlfriend, "I like you, but I'm going to see what else is out there. I might come back to you or might not." As a teammate that is staying on the roster, I would think that you would then be viewed as a player that is not "all in and committed to the team," even if you return.

If you would go back and see how many players who enter the portal return to their original school, I think it would be a very small number

Scholarships are year-to-year commitments. By players and the coaches who give them out. We have two players on our current team who I believe are here because their scholarship was not renewed by their old coach. I have no problem with young men and women looking for the right situation for them.

Professional athletes switch teams all the time in free agency. Do you think their teammates question their loyalty and commitment? Fans? Sure. It’s easy to throw insults from the cheap seats when you have no real skin in the game.

your point makes some obvious sense but i think the portal is just coming a very normal part of the process

it worked pretty nice having umude come back once, for some team around here

Appears Fidler is staying at Omaha. Great for UNO and for the league.

i have always appreciated and respected his game, and think he is a really really solid all around player! SO, i guess if that is what he wanted then congratulations to sam,

but apparently after 3 years as a bison he has gotten tired of winning games and having a chance to go to the ncaa,

of course it does seem pretty clear that the jacks will once again be VERY strong favorites to win the conference and represent in the ncaa next year. maybe that has some bearing on his decision, but at the moment i would not bet against ndsu to be the next best team and they ALWAYS play us so tough

i wonder do ndsu players realize that they have lost to us 7 of the last 9?? do they have some feeling like they just can never get over the hump against us?? or do they think about that the last 7 times we have beaten them it has been by a total of about 30 points??? or maybe / probably they dont think about any of that??

anyway i hope the experience will give him what he is looking for!

SDSU football is 3-7 against NDSU last ten meetings. I don't think the FB team is letting that get them down as they are 3-3 in the last 6 games. I suspect NDSU basketball feels they will get back on it also.
