Re: GDT: SDSU vs Omaha
Thats right. Offense is the problem. We need to score more than 93 points to win a game and Flatten wont help us do that.

What happened since USD? They need him in there. Or maybe coach is playing his players, Reed and Daum. IDK And Reed has struggled
We can argue all day weather that's the biggest issue.....

I've said he's made decisions I don't understand, like sitting King, and I don't like watching them lose; however, I don't think individuals on this forum have any right to lie about coach-player interactions when refutative evidence is readily available in the form of statements TJ makes during a press conference (and that person saw the dang video) or to dismiss significant roster turnover as whining.

Now, jacksstudent raised some valid points about possible incongruence between TJ's background and characteristics of successful Summit teams, but TJ was purportedly hired by a committee that was aware of that and should have considered the implications. TJ should not be faulted for their oversight, if one occurred; holding him responsible for his decisions, given time to implement his system is another matter

Re: GDT: SDSU vs Omaha
I'll bite on the cupboard not being bare, especially at the PG position. The Jacks returned no players that had any playing time at point guard last year - that's zero minutes in 30 games. Before this year, we've been spoiled for a number of seasons with Marshall, Carlson and Wolters at the position. To get some perspective for how Nagy-coached teams performed with lesser quality PG's, I looked back at the pre-Wolters era. In the 9/10 season Nate started 11 games as a freshman and senior Michael Palarca started the rest. The other starters were Clint Sargent, Garrett Callahan, Kai Williams and Anthony Cordova. That team was 14-16. In 8/9, Palarca and Mackensie Casey split time at PG and the rest of the starting line-up was the same as 9/10 - they finished 13-20. In the 7/8 season (1st in the Summit), the PG's were Palarca and Casey with Sargent, Williams,Callahan and Ben Beran. That team finished 8-21. Conclusions ? As much as I like Mike Daum, I would rate those starting line-ups of Sargent, Kai Williams, Garrett Callahan and Cordova/Beran (with Dale Moss coming off the bench) as at least as good, if not better than what we are running out this year. And they never finished with a .500 record when playing with below average PG's. So Nagy coached teams also had years where results were not exactly stellar with decent talent at every position other than PG.

We have enough talent to play better on the offensive and defensive end.

Sorry, but Daum's presence alone and preseason plaudits don't win games, and it takes time to implement new systems. You'd figure an expert like you would know that.

By the way Parks and Marshall came too. Parks was a big scorer from JUCO that turned into a premier defensive player and he still scored a few points. That is another discussion.

Ever think that maybe extra scholarships offers were made because current players requested permission to explore transfer opportunities?
As for trying to prove anything to you -- it seems you're a reveler in this "post-truth" world we live in, so I'll let you get back to parsing pressers for psychological tells (just please realize that sometimes looking down is simply looking at stats).
