However, let's be honest about his ability. Connor is a presence on the defensive end with his ability to block shots. Outside of that he struggles and never made a ton of progress since his first year. He is a below average passer, gets pushed around by everyone, and his ability to finish around the basket is not good. Yes, he has had a few good dunks and awesome blocks but he gets the ball in positions that he should finish at the rim and due to either not catching the pass well or not having the strength it ends up being a missed shot or a turnover.

We need him to contribute minutes for sure. He was a project. Unfortunately, he hasn't developed as much as everyone had hoped. He's a very bright kid with a good head on his shoulders. His future is bright no matter what he decides to do. He has handled not playing a lot with class and is a good teammate.

Connor Devine is a junior. He may have been a redshirt one year.
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

I agree, Flack is pretty good.

My mistake. He does have another year. That's great. Let's hope the trend continues. We can use the depth! Daum is much better at the 4 anyway.

I think Theisen is our worst player in the 9 man rotation right now. There are a lot of issues, but my biggest issue is how lazy he is. It's so evident in his game on both the offensive and defensive side. It's a really good thing Daum has come along like he has.

Yes he is, in fact its hard on this old fan to approve of that look on his face when he makes an aggressive bucket.

Flack has a high motor and is a tremendous athlete. That being said he isn't even in the same ball park as Daum right now. Let's look at Saturday. Daum had 24 points 6 rebounds in 23 minutes. Flack had 7 points 5 rebounds in 24 minutes. One game but if you watched the game Daum absolutely destroyed Flack on offense. Flack couldn't even pretend to guard him.

You can make the argument that Flack has missed most of the last two years with injury, but at the same time Daum is a RS freshman.

If Daum continues to progress he could very possibly be in the conversation with Wolters as the greatest Jack ever. Obviously, no guarantee that he will progress but if you predicted production like this from Daum this year I'd suggest you call Nagy and give input on recruits.

The whole Trey Norris ordeal kind of reminds me a couple years ago when Gruis got into Dykstras face after a foul at the D-Dome. It also reminded me when LA slapped the floor on defense as Wolters was dribbling up the floor during the 2014 Championship game. Wolters then drove right into LA and scored. It just seems that SDSU players have never brought attention on themselves during games. I would never tolerate that kind of stuff. I don't care if fans like it or not. It's poor sportsmanship. Just the play game and act like you've been there/done that before. Nagy has done a tremendous job coaching and molding his players into great people.

That was an amazing sequence of events.

IIRC, NDSU rallied to tie or make it close and LA slapped the floor right in front of Wolters. Nate then buried a deep 3 in his face with the shot-clock expiring.

But, I agree that you never see SDSU players trying to show up the other team.

Gruis and Dykstra goes way deeper than anything that happened on Saturday or LA and Wolters.

Watched the replay of the game and by and large, it was a clean game and no intentional cheap shots either way. Both sides just trying to win a basketball game.

                        On to Fort Wayne Thursday!

This is not how I recall the NDSU game. Wolters drove past him and laid it in.

The one play I didn't appreciate happened in the first minute of the game when Kasperbauer undercut Telly when he was way up in the air after a rebound.

Two guys going up for a rebound. Not a surprise when the bigger guy gets undercut because the other guy can't get up as high. Not a dirty play IMO

Abosolutely no intent on that play.
