I can understand his frustration. It was clearly a foul and not close to a tie up. Regardless, that does not warrant showing your frustration the way Landis did.

If it was a foul, it would have been the player who tied him up. Thiesen only had contact that Landis initiated. Landis sort of quit playing at that point and he was tied up from the back side. Landis may have thought he "drew" the foul at that point and he had also picked up his dribble. Landis had the benefit of the doubt with most contact during the game. He is like many who lead with the left arm and he did a good job of not extending the arm during the night as he was driving the ball. He is a large offensive threat who has a large range for his shots.

I honestly thought the coach was invoked but maybe not. Tyler and his helper mentioned that FW was trying call time out. Big Thiesen had him trapped. At any rate we got T and Parks made the FTs.

I think Moffitt does fine without Bittle (see the Middle Tennessee game). I think Telly has trouble creating his own shot and relies on a lot of kick out open shots, which are created often by Bittle posting up and people having to drop to help. When I saw Telly play in the Chadron State exhibition game, I was excited, because he was driving, slashing, creating his own shots, but his confidence is completely gone. He has done a great job on the boards, but we need points from him if we are going to make noise.

AWESOME, thanks to whoever put the opponent coach up for this game.

Bittle is also a legitimate threat from 3 point distance, which Moffitt has shown little ability to do. The defense can overplay him to drive which clogs up the area around the basket. Having Bittle as an option from the outside spreads the defense and creates more space for everyone. To me, Moffitt is most effective when he can back up Marshall and run the offense from out top.

Bittle is also more a playmaker. Can get his own shot whenever he wants to.

Moffitt if more of a guy that makes plays off others. He's dangerous but he has trouble creating his own opportunities. When Bittle went down we really started to struggle offensively. Last night Marshall seemed to be more aggressive. Some of that could be the fact he shot the ball extremely well.

I hope to see Daum and Theisen in the starting lineup until Bittle is back regardless of match-ups. I really liked the rotations last night.
