Agree about Gilbert, but Holdren didn't create any off the court issues that I am aware of.
Holdren was a me-first player every time he stepped on the court at SDSU. That's why he scored double digits. I personally witnessed events that have shaped my opinion off the court. That's all I will say about that. He isn't the devil or anything, but he never belonged at SDSU, and I was glad to see him go.

Ben Beran was on that team as well, if I'm not mistaken.

We went to the same high school after all.

Jim Sutton played over 50 years ago. I don't think you can use that as an argument that Brayden will be forgotten in 20 years. I will certainly remember Brayden until Alzheimers sets in (maybe even after, the way that disease works).

Agreed, thats why I mentioned him, his potential was one of the best we might have ever had. Sad to see it went unrealized here. I know he didnt stay but shows Nagy could recruit early on and just seemed to have that dark cloud over the team but they stuck with it and its all good now. It was a lot of guys who played around then who arent going to be on our alltime D-1 roster, but should be thanked for what they did and tried to do for SDSU.

Yes I was around 73 years ago and recall Jim Sutton as you will recall Brayden 50 years going forward, but will your unborn grandchildren? That I have my doubts. Everyone seems to appreciate the current players more so than those long ago who still hold records such as Jim Sutton. And I am done with this thread. Go ahead and make your picks. We don't have enough D1 history to make a good selection, but do as may.
