Dang right it's disappointing and embarrassing.

It flabbergasts me how one game we can play absolutely out of our minds defensively and completely shut a team down, then a week or two later not even show up defensively. This has been a problem for several years now. Yeah, you're on the road...who gives a crap. Get off your arse and defend someone already. Yeah, you're not playing in your gym. Get the freakin' rebound anyway. Good land. SDSU is a soft road team. Plain and simple. TOUGHEN UP!

On top of the defensive issue, I was just stunned because what I was able to watch, we didn't just miss shots, we were missing HORRIBLY. Reed, Bittle, and even Larson on the inside airballed a 5 footer (then shortly after hit a 3, wtf?). There is no reason players at this level should miss shots the way we consistently do down there.

They're not very original thinkers down there. Comment on Strollers: A "version" of a capers show but only in the loosest sense of the word. It's unique (as in "you don't want to imitate it"). It was the most bizarre event at USD as far as I was concerned. No redeeming social value. But, those who participate it worship it. I heard one USD undergrad (who did not participate) refer to it derisively as the "god of second semester" (it was my impression a huge percentage of the student population disliked the strollers show). I wouldn't seriously try to compare it to anything as SDSU. It's just horrible.

Also, should end the seed speculation whimsy. Gotta win the tournament before that talk.

I think that this loss may have a little more good than bad in that the team had just received a fresh reminder of what can happen when they loose intensity and forget to play like they're scared. USD is a low-end team that showed it can play well at times. The Summit League Tourney will have teams much better than USD who have also showed they play very well at times. We have our work cut out for us but that's what we expect at this time of the year. One continuing advantage for the Jacks: we know what to do during tourney time and all we have to do is execute.

The Jacks beat USD anywhere outside of the D-Dome. It was nice to see that their "fans" care about 1 game at least.

Would this be the 2nd time USD has stormed the court against SDSU? That is way it will always be difficult for their men's team to compete for a league title.

SDSU will be favored and will be ready in Sioux Falls.
This isn't the first time we have lost in Vermillion. It won't be the last. As of now, WE ARE THE ONLY GAME THEIR FAN BASE GETS UP FOR which gives their players a solid boost.

The reality is we played poorly. The missed shots? How many of you have played in Vermillion? Shooting in that dome is very difficult and frustrating. As for storming the court... well; it is USD and outside of their women's program they haven't had much to get excited about. Of course being excited about their women's program normally translates into bringing 500 fans in attendance.

It is over, on to the tournament. We put together a solid run and we are in the NCAA for the 3rd time.
