Tyler might have said Stetson, but I caught the word Florida. I been trying to find their roster. Thanks for the correction.

Jack1 is right, Forbes played at Stetson one year as well as Jacobo.

I'd love to be able to watch him match up with Bjorklund Saturday. Bjorklund has been known to find himself in foul trouble and Forbes could definitely get him there quickly. That will certainly be a key to that game. FW will roll into that game with a bit of a chip on their shoulder after the beatdown we gave them last night.

Whatever happened last night, if the guys can keep it rolling until they take the court in Sioux Falls, look out. They'll find 5,000 fired up Jacks fans ready to blow the roof off that place for a third year. Lots can happen between now and then, but we definitely got a glimpse of what this team is capable of when they put it together.

Actually, when I was in school, Thursday night was the biggest night for "going out". Most of my friends would go home for the weekend, so Thursday night was our last chance to go out and have a good time.

If we were in school today, we would have made sure to go out AFTER any basketball game. Not sure why the current student population couldn't do the same.

He could not handle Cody's speed inside. I agree that he is a load and we did a good job keeping him in check. If you give me a choice, I want our guy. Cody is really starting to get comfortable and becoming more of a force every game.

We lost the student support during the transition when we were terrible. The games weren't fun to go to. For whatever reason the student support is slow to come back.

                1. Excellent Defense
                2. Dominated the boards.
                3. Ball movement and assists everywhere.

Fun night to watch the Rabbits. Finish the deal this weekend and take the show on the road next weekend.

Along with the students getting moved to worse seats behind the basket. As much as others try to spin it, it does nothing to enhance the student experience and bring students to games. Lack of double headers consistantly i think in confrence play is a factor too.

Student turnout wasn't great the year before they were moved though. If there were 500 students who consistently showed up and made their opinions known back then, they would have never been moved. If the students have worse seats now, its their own fault, IMO.

The student section would still be half empty or worse for every game except NDSU/USD if they had "prime" seating. And season ticket sales wouldn't be nearly as high.

Its not like season ticket holders use those seats every game either so many times they are still wasted seats. Wonder why there is often student apathy. the admin is just as much to blame as the students IMHO.

Many season ticket holders have an hour or more to drive twice a week. The student only have to walk a few blocks. I went last night, got home at 11, got up at 3:45 so i could be to work by 5. I cant do that every thur night and i dont but i try to give my tickets to someone when i cant make it.

More winning may help the men's attendance. It was really noisy as the dunks took place last night as well. The Pork Classic this week might bring a few of those who have the tradition attending that game as well. It was a great game to attend last night. That was about as good of play as anyone may have seen at Frost for awhile. Hopefully the attendance and interest grows now.

I get it, fans and season ticket holders its not that easy, but its not like there arent other things affecting students, when I was in college, i had evenining classes at least 1 or 2 times night, worked, involved in other campus activities that have meetings or events etc. Its not like every single student is just sitting around playing the latest video game system. Dont get me wrong but plenty do and there are enough students on campus and in brookings it shouldnt be that hard to get to games but its not like there arent other things that require students time away from going to athletic events.

I know a lot if students have other things going on. But youd think with all the students, we could packen into their sectios plus some.

Moving the students didn't create the apathy. There was student apathy before the seating change, and I would argue it was there before the DI move. There used to be LOADS of non-students sitting in the student section (I was one of them). The front of the student section was rowdy, but the middle was pretty much like sitting in GA. Then SDSU started to enforce that it was actually students sitting there (I was turned away for not having ID once), and suddenly there was all kinds of space.

Maybe we should just give students a free pass to sit anywhere in the arena, displacing whatever season ticket holders they want to. Then I bet they would show up in droves. /s

I don't doubt for a second that seating plays a part in low student turnout. But it isn't the cure-all for improving student attendance by a long shot. Right or wrong, I don't think the athletic department really cares how many students show up. They care how many season ticket sales they can have, since student fees are fixed regardless of how many show up. Its disappointing, but not much is going to happen with it.
