  • GDT:IPFW vs SDSU

This is the next step for the Jackrabbit men to move up the ladder. Big win tonight to get the #2 seed for Summit Tourney.

    GDT:IPFW vs SDSU

    From TV's blog:

"SDSU dropped an 82-75 decision at Fort Wayne in Round 1 of league play with the Dons going plus-7 in rebound margin with a 42-16 advantage in points in the paint."

Larson has to have a big game tonight. We're not going to get it done with Heemstra alone.

A win makes top-2 odds pretty good (FW will have 4 more road games). A loss seals our fate as third or worse. Make some noise in Frost!

15:56 left in the first half.

        SDSU 7, IPFW 7.

Forbes is a beast. Now I remember why they killed us in the paint last time. Larson and Heemstra are going to have a tough night. Larson's start was not pretty. Heemstra quickly replaced him and got a nice offensive board.

Love the hustle and smart play that Heemstra has brought early.

Bittle too has had a nice start.

              At the under 12 timeout,

SDSU leads 21-17. Jacks are really shooting well from deep. Bittle with two 3's and 8 points already. He's really been shooting the ball well lately. Dykstra with 7 points.

nice step back 3 for Dykstra. Under 12 TO Jacks up 4 21-17 both teams shooting 50%+

                  Re: GDT:IPFW vs SDSU

Neither team is missing much (especially us) but FW has been a little sloppy with the ball. I'm glad to see that we are making them pay for those turnovers. Another chance is coming now.

If Bittle keeps playing like this, our ceiling is pretty high. Having him be another offensive option adds another dimension.

Rebounds and turnovers have been the key so far.

Forbes is built like the proverbial brick sh*thouse - maybe even a double wide. If you try to go around him , you almost need to pack a lunch.
