I can't even remember being 217.It must have been a very brief stop on my way to 230+.

Hey, I'm just the messenger! I know that end of last season coach told him to trim down a bit and make sure he was adding muscle. After the 30+ lb gain of last year, adding any more is going to be slower. Many of these guys fluctuate pretty dramatically when they start conditioning and playing in season. I wouldn't worry about it. From talking to him, he was pretty happy with the scrimmage this weekend and feels just fine where he is weight wise, but wants to keep adding muscle and strength. With the rule changes in CBB this year, less emphasis on taking charges, freed up a bit more to try and block shots, was excited about that a little.

I was thinking his height and good footwork from the tapes I have watched would really work well with those new rules for defense, so he doesnt have to just bang bodies down low like its been played for awhile now, maybe less physical contact will help the skinny guys from getting pushed around as much and use their strenghts more.

And where's that Alaska coach that posted about Devine a while ago. You said he was 233 looking to be 250 by season. Devine is 217 !
I wouldn't worry too much about what Connor Devine weighs...yeah he will be able to use more weight...but he's doing just fine right now. I watched him in workouts and one of his assets is his wing span and his athletic ability for as big as he is to provide a tough defensive matchup. And oh yeah...I understand he had 4 points and 7 rebounds in the Nebraska scrimmage...not bad for the first D-1 competitive competition for him against the Big Red.

Any Other rumored stats from the secret scrimmage? I was wondering who all played or points rebounds sort of stuff. might be more accurate in the scrimmage then an exhibition games.

#1 do you or anyone for that matter have any insight to how deep of a bench Nagy might play? AJ has always played a deep bench we know, but seems nagy is more of the 6-7 maybe 8 guys play. Are we going to see more then that or does giving to much playing time around take guys out of their flow or rythm?

Jackrabbits travel to the sunny west coast to play University of San Diego and Loyola Marymount at the end of the week Both Jackrabbit basketball teams start with a West Coast Conference team. USD is picked at the bottom of the conference and LMU is picked 6th. It would be great to see a couple of W's on this trip. That could boost the confidence to protect the home winning streak against Montana in Frost.

From what I can tell, USD offers free video. At least I have not found a cost attached.

Nice find. I could not find the same at LMU.

Both games are at USD, but only the games involving USD have video links. Maybe USD is planning to stream the rest, but I doubt it.

Agreed. Keith Benson played at 6-11, 220; How'd that turn out?

I am not sure if I should be concerned about my memory or my eyes. I did slide the USD too far in the standings.

Tweet from TV that Broman is currently second team point guard and Bittle is playing the wing.

Surprising. What do you think, is this due more to Broman's ability at the PG position or Bittle's struggles there?

I would have to guess Broman earned it. Guess it can be looked at that Bittle lost it also, but tough to keep bittle off the court since he seems to be one of the better on ball defenders we have. probably going to see a lot of line up changes and players in different positions to see how everything settles into place.
