So you are saying it is possible??? I would almost go back to the notion that if this were to occur that the come to Jesus moment would involve the coach/player situation. If the coach says it is possible, then I would say it might happen. The omega must be the coach.

Head Coach for Morehead is Chad Walthall. He was an assistant at Iowa under Todd Lickliter - would have been a primary recruiter of Larson to Iowa.

        Re: Taevaunn Prince leaves team

Though the NCAA requires that the athlete be enrolled I do believe there are ways to get a what if kind of ruling. However in the past not all of those rulings end up that way once everything is said and done. I remember when Stephenson transferred from UNC to USC because of the health of a parent and everyone thought he'd get the waiver and all reports were he would and when the final decision came he didn't get the waiver.

As for Cody, I'm still skeptical, not so much on his off the court issues as I don't know him enough to make that call, but more on how well he can adapt to playing real minutes. Everyone can say how he's doing in a gym/practice, but he has played VERY few actual minutes since his junior year of high school, and those he has played weren't exactly pretty.

Yes I am saying its possible and fits what CadSev was saying in his post where he was unequivocally stating the known and the unknown. I don't have a clue about Burgandy except that he is a frequent poster over on Bisonville and seems to command respect, which is not saying much.

Chad Walthal recruited Cody to Iowa but despite that he won't be attending MSU.

I think your spot on with your comment about the NCAA will not issue a ruling until Cody enrolls. I also agree that he will not enroll unless they have that warm and fuzzy feeling that the NCAA ruling would be in his favor. From what I am hearing Cody will be a Jackrabbit. Has he had some issue? Yes. I suspect that heart to heart talk from the Jackrabbit coaching staff and Cody has already taken place.

Cody already has a sister playing VB for the Jacks and both WBB and VB are interested in his younger sister (Tagyn) SP? 6 ft 3 in So with a bucket load of talent.

If I were a betting person - and I am not! I would bet that we will see Cody in a Jackrabbit uniform this coming season. Clearly would be a good fit for what the Jacks need.

The reality is that there aren't all that many athletic, 6'9", 250 lb guys out there at the mid-major level. We had a slim 6'7" post last year and he had great success at times. I'm anxious to see how this all turns out. He would certainly be a nice addition to the team.

                        A couple more transfers--

Mike Schott, currently an assistant under Matt Margenthaler at Mankato, and Matt Wallace, both transferred in from DI, Northeastern Illinois. in 1996. If I remember correctly, we were after Mike and he ended up bringing his roommate Matt along. Matt ends up being the starter and scorer. Didn't it used to be said that if the ball goes into Matt, it was the "black hole", as it wasn't going to be kicked back out. They were both part of the 97 DII Elite Eight team and 2 NCC Championships.

There's obviously a big need for a guy with that size and mobility on the 2013 team. Having one come in could also pay off big down the road because it could allow possibly both Doyle and Severyn to redshirt. I'd love to see those guys not have to "waste" a year with minimal minutes like Horstman and Heemstra did.
