So my observation is off by a few years and one short term coach Sox Walseth. Sox did a good job in the two years he was at SDSU. He left for U of Colorado. My memory of Howard Connors and Eddy Livingston goes back a ways. Eddy used to get booed by the students when introduced before the game, and he used to respond with a bow to the crowd. Kind of a character. They used to introduce the refs before the game started, something that has since been dropped. Surely you remember these two guys.

I think we can all agree there was some home cookin' going on last night. But we did things to kill ourselves, too. When you look at some of the stats and other factors, though, perhaps not as many as I thought 23 hours ago. Some very interesting (code word for suspicious ) things throughout the game, eh? The foul at the end of the game was pretty dubious. I don't think there's any escaping that. Thankfully, it wasn't a conference game, though. That would have been crippling. I think we just need to shore a few things up down the stretch. And Feigen is one of the biggies. He's struggled the past two games, and I'm a bit worried. Hope Dykstra can heal up for the conference tourney. We can play very well when we're not being the most inconsistent team in the nation. Let's channel that solid play and move forward.

Nah, never was at a State BB game til I enrolled in 63. Remember Stewart telling Walseth stories on TV, but think it was about CU.

I was thinking of moving on from this game, but figured I'd at least give my fellow Jacks fans a look at the loose-ball-foul with .5 seconds left in the 2nd OT.

Mark O. shows it twice in his SDSU highlights during KDLT's 6 o'clock sports cast.

As you can plainly see, Horstman and the Jacks mauled the Bakersfield rebounders to the point that suspensions are probably warranted. Fair warning! This footage is not for the faint of heart.

Worse than I imagined. An absolute crock of ****...and that ref should never be allowed anywhere near a basketball court ever again.

I honestly feel like this needs to go further up...not because the Jacks lost...because some team is going to get screwed by this 'crew' in a game that actually matters. This is dirty in every sense of the word, and by the research of some other posters, it isn't the first time a team got 'homered' hard core by these guys. The NCAA is corrupt enough...they don't need any help from officials.

Wow, there is getting homered but that is beyond being homered. Was that ref paid off?

If that happened to NDSU the meltdown at Bisonville would have gone thermonuclear.

Thanks for posting the kdlt video. Just rewatched that video 63 times and all I can say after watching is shameless. He called the foul and pointed at horstman, who wasnt even in the play, and on the complete other side of the court of the rebound. Absolutely no contact whatsoever from either team anywhere on the floor. Confirms the incredible level of shamelessness by CSUB and the "officials" they hired for this game. I can only imagine the calls leading up that play that lead to this being a 2OT game if they were willing to call that with 0.5 seconds left. We probably had to blow this team out to even play the 2OT game we played. I'm sick.

That has to be the worst game-deciding call one could ever see.

I replayed this clip too many times. I never even found #24, nor did I see anything resembling a foul, nor contact of any kind. Though it will do no good, every Jackrabbit fan owes a duty to complain to the noted NCAA office. When, because of eyestrain, I ceased re-playing the clip, I concluded that the broadcaster's calling of the play (and numbers) must have been mistaken. Too bad.

Ive watched it 10 times and can only shake my head. Good officials dont call a foul at that point unless it is so obvious that you could actually see it. I didnt see anything obvious. It would hurt a lot worse had this play happened in Omaha. I hope we never play out there again. But if they come here again, i would volunteer to be an official. Never done it before but i couldnt be any worse than those 3 guys.

Fargo... if you havent read the full thread go back a few pages and read the info I posted about the refs. In short, these three refs only do CSUB games. two of them have worked four CSUB games together and this was the first and only game they have done this year. CSUB's record when they ref is something like 6-1. They did the same thing to NJIT. In my mind there was no way the Jacks were going to win this game unless they completely blew the runners off the court and they made sure it was a close game all the way and the final call proved this. I thought the screw job the womens team got against Baylor in the NCAA was bad but this was just criminal. Our administration will go the nice guy route and blow this off as just the breaks of the game but a game tape and complaint should be filed with the head of officials at the NCAA offices and CSUB should be removed from the schedule games with list. This game will hurt us more than just in the loss column IMHO.

Someone with better computer skills than me should send this clip to the Pardon the Interruption show with Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser on ESPN. They show clips of stuff like this and would give national publicity to this kind of crap.

If we get a 15 or 16 seed then i agrre this loss hurt more than in the loss column. I think we were looking at a 14 seed anyway. We got a 14 last year and our RPI was better

I haven't commented because I haven't seen any video until this morning. Yikes.

I've always been of the opinion that you can't blame a loss on refs... I am considering making an exception.

With that being said, SDSU should have never been in that position to begin with.
