Bader is a great 3-point shooter so he takes a lot of 3-point shots. He misses more than he makes as do most players with all their shots. When he makes one its worth 3 points instead of 2. Therefore, its important to defend him hoping that will result in him missing a few more. However, you can't dedicate your defense to stopping one guy that shoots well from the 3-point line when his teammates are beating your ass to the hoop for easy layups. That is where the problem occurred last Saturday, no excuses.
Except when he plays us...36-70 on 3's (career to date) vs. the Jacks.

I would say we lost becasue of the 3. They made 16-30 if I recall. That is a great percent and 16 is way way way to many. But that's just me.

You don't need to commit your whole defense to stop him, just keep somebody on him and close out on him hard. Similar to how the Heat defended Steve Novak in last years playoffs.

Also the excuses was from people saying that he doesn't get rebounds because of having someone down low, him only shooting 3s because that is his role on his team, and similar excuses to that. Simply put he is a specialist

Agree. Oakland beat us by getting high percentage shots and by knocking down the 3. When a team shoots as well as they did its hard to beat them and the Jacks still nearly did it without any offense from one of our main guys. I like the Jackrabbits to win the conference and the tourney.
