Message for the youth: “Set your goals high and work for them, because if you set your goals where they should be, it’s going to require a lot of hard work. And even if you don’t achieve them, it shows longevity, and it shows commitment. And those are both things you need for the rest of your life,” Tony Fiegen
Watching Kampe's post-game. USD has been the spoiler for Oakland AND us. Dykstra had 11 rebounds.Scoring:Wolters 36; White 21; Carlson 11; Fiegen 10; Dykstra 5
I'm defending Dykstra. Sure, he didn't score much and has had better games but I don't agree with all the experts with so much more athlete ability and knowledge. Next thing we'll read, you'll want Saul Phillips to lose his job because of this game.
Well, we can complain about our performance and point the finger at the players who didn't show up, but we played pretty poorly as a team on this road trip.
Need to get home and refocus, because we still control our own destiny when it comes to the #1 seed in the Summit Tourney.
If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments. - Steven Wright
Wolters getting interviewed by Tyler M. I wish everyone could hear the interview from a guy who was in the trenches. The remaining conference games are critical, of course, and we have WIU in Frost. We can still get this done.
I would not mind a little help from the Mastadons tonight. Tip-off at IPFW is in 5 minutes.
It's frustrating to get 36 from Wolters and 21 from White and lose. OU is not going to shoot the ball like that every night, however. Still, they did it tonight and that is all that matters. You have to give them credit.
The #1 seed is still ours to lose. Getting it is going to require three consecutive conference wins. It's good to have two of those at home.

I too am defending him, I said he was struggling in everything except rebounding where he got 11 and most were unnoticed by me.
I was impressed with Monday, very level headed guy. Valentine, and his emotion, I just dont know.
Duke Mondy, in addition to having a great name for the protagonist in a pot-boiler detective novel, was huge. He's a transfer and Kampe noted that it took a while for Mondy to learn OU's system and for Kampe to learn Mondy. Looks like it's working out well for them.
Nagy post game now on. Nagy notes it was unfortunate Wolters broke two records (scoring and assists) in losses...bittersweet. 14 turnovers for SDSU and 4 for OU. We don't (usually) turn over the ball that many times but just did tonight. Our guys played hard and our hearts were in it ... just struggled to guard off the dribble. Tyler asked about Dykstra: Nagy: yeah, we need more out of him but this was not a great weekend for us. About this time last year had the same kind of lull.Free throws: made all of them but offense doesn't wins games, defense does.We went away from our principles at the start and that's our fault (coaches) and I'll take the blame for it.Well, now I turn on 910 and listen to the Jackrabbit women and have a second radio available for 790 KFGO to listen to MyOhMy and a little Bison BB too. GO MASTODONS IN FORT WAYNE...TONIGHT EVEN FILBERT WANTS YOU TO WIN.

We rely heavily on Dykstra's offensive performance. He's our second best player. When he has an off night offensively, we really struggle, even if he pulls down a ton of boards and plays well defensively. I don't think that's a criticism of his ability more than fans being dissatisfied watching him play less than his potential for two consecutive games.
