  • Re: IPFW

I just saw store on Wolters' night on 8 am Sportscenter. I sounds like this one was a little shorter, no interview footage but it was beautiful to see that large Jackrabbits logo with Nate's picture at first and then a few highlights of his night.

And only 1362 saw this virtuous performance live. Buried behind Nate's outstanding night is Frank Gaines' 29 pt night. Jacks shut him down as well as the Dons shut Nate down. Need to do better defensively at Oakland, especially on Bader.

Only explanation: Not even the internet can contain Nate Wolters.

Very true. Lost in all this well-deserved Wolters hype is the fact that most of the rest of the team had one of their worst performances of the year. A similar effort against Oakland will send the Jacks home with a 15 point loss.

Wolters' performance last night is another reminder how high the ceiling for this team could be if he gets some help. Some nights it happens, others it does not. Play some tough defense, make a few open shots, and hang on for the ride because Nate can take you far. He just needs some help...

Nate was unbelievable, won't be replicated by anyone at SDSU for a long time if ever. That said, Jacks were lucky to get out of there with the W. Jordan, Chad and Brayden can't just not show up. Jordan had 2 pts and 4 boards and Chad had 4 and 2. That isn't acceptable if this team is going to accomplish what it is capable of.

Discussion about Nate's 53 needs its own thread so I started one. IPFW let one slip away by allowing Nate to beat them (one way to look at it). I was ecstatic for Nate but very frustrated with the way the first 30 minutes of the game played out last night. Hopefully its just a little hiccup like the other hiccups earlier this year.

That's by far the best I've seen him play. Glad I was able to watch it online. I know this technically isn't a big win (in the eyes of the NCAA), but hopefully it helps with seeding a little bit because of the exposure. Win out and hopefully beat Murray State and they should be in line for a 12-13 seed. I still think a 13 seed is where they land IF they make the tourney. Lots of work left.
