      Re: IPFW

It sounds like they're hitting a lot of tough shots and pull up shots. I have a feeling they'll cool off in the second.

On the other hand, IPFW is running us out of the gym on the boards. That's all effort and hustle, and we didn't seem to bring any tonight. Better get that figured out for the second half.

Gaines and Wolters trade three's right before half. IPFW up 37-29 at half

I'm not happy that I'm happy that we're down by less than 10 to IPFW at the half.

              Wolters 15 pts, 0rbs, 1ast ... Prince with 5, Dykstra 3 pts. Ugh. Jacks shooting 30%, IPFW shooting 50%. Gaines with 14

This one is obvious if you are watching the game. That's what makes it so frustrating. IPFW has guys flying to the basket when their shots go up. We are standing around waiting for the ball to bounce to us. Nagy always mentions how the team's offensive flow is dependent on how intense they are playing defensively. Tonight is more solid proof that his theory is right on. Fix it quick or this will go down as one of the more disappointing losses in several years.

The good news is that 8 points is not much to make up if we slow them down a bit and start making shots at a reasonable rate. Gaines has two fouls. Get him a third early on and things can change quickly.

Dykstra's performance is the most troublesome. When he disappears, we lose. Every time.

                        Re: IPFW

We need to work hard on getting some defensive stops in the second half if for no other reason than me not having to watch the replay of the IPFW score while the Jacks have the ball. Would have loved to see Nate's 3 pointer at the of the half instead of the previous play.

Nate is 5-12 FG. Rest of 5-19. UGH. Dykstra needs to step up. He's been playing well lately. White, Carlson, Fiegen, and Dykstra decided not to show up tonight.

Agreed! I seem to be having trouble with the feed buffering a lot and having to refresh the feed quite often
