Re: IUPUI @ Frost
Couldn't agree more. It totally had to do with matchups.
I found it interesting the other evening when IUPUI shot the ball only one player went to the offensive glass. The other four would retreat. Just another reason to play a small lineup. Go Rabbits!

Originally posted by bigticket1 View PostThat's true, but Marcus got major minutes against Buffalo, who had bigger, better post players than the Jags.
We could get by guarding their 1 big with our 2 bigs.
The way our offense runs best is more of a 4 out 1 in. It spreads the D and gives us lanes to penetrate to the hole or drive and kick.
It seems like some people complain about not have a true 5. I'd rather not have a true 5 that can only post up and make 5 footers. This team is just so much better when we spread the court. It's just an old Army trick I learned in the Navy.

Re: IUPUI @ Frost
A year ago I thought the lack of a true post would continue to haunt us into 2012. Let's just say I've been converted after seeing firsthand the way our current lineup creates those matchup problems for "traditional" teams. I'd still love to have a classic 6'10 banger available on the bench, but this current small-ball lineup is working nicely. Dykstra is a 3-point sniper and that's a big problem for a lot of teams.
