  • BISON: Offical Game Thread

The mens game is about 2 weeks away.  First of all, are you guys putting up the Boarder Marker?  I know its only for football, so far, but I think it would be a good idea to put it up in different sports to give all the athletes a chance to compete for it.

Jbb. then where would it end? swimming? Nice thought but we have it for at least another 10 months. We are taking good care of it. You ought to come see it.

why not let the swimmers compete for it?  let all the athletes compete for it.  Certainly you think enough of your BB team to let them play for it dont you?

The football teams play for the Marker . . . why not resurrect the Big Stick idea for basketball?

I think it would be fun to let everybody play for it, but the big stick might be good. It doesnt seem there are that many trophy games like that in BB.

Saturday nights the night.  Its a big game for us since it is another DI game and another chance to win our first in DI.  It would be fun to get it against you guys on your court.  Are you expecting a big crowd.  There will be some BISON fans there from what Im hearing.  It hasnt been a banner year for either squad, but its one game at a time and Im looking forward to this one.   Good luck to you guys but  I see a BISON win.

Ps.  how are the hot dogs at Frost?

I dunno, two common opponents, Denver and Manhattan, beat NDSU worse than they beat SDSU.

            I can't believe I said that. > > >

              Re: BISON: Offical Game Thread

Thats true.  It could be taken as a sign that SDSU is actually better than the BISON.  But right now we are fully rested and ready to play.  Im not sure you can say that about the Manhattan game.  I dont watch a lot of buckets but am looking forward to this one.  If NDSU wins, would you agree its an upset?

                Re: BISON: Offical Game Thread

It would be a huge disappointment to lose to the bison boys tonight. As little talent has we have this year we absolutely should have enough heart, desire and intensity to beat a team perceived as our new and biggest rival on our home court in our best sport.

Nagy makes it sound like the fellas are ready to play and I can't see why they wouldn't be. I expect a competitive and scrapy bison team to show up, but they better not be counting on leaving with a win. I'll be listening, Go jacks.

                  Re: BISON: Offical Game Thread

Advice?  Start getting a hand in Myron Green's face.  Make him penetrate.  Keep shooting the open 3's.

                  Bison lead 11-8, 15:00 in the 1st half. We're not defending the 3-point line.......again.

Couple of 3's for the Jacks, quick back and forth now, both offenses clicking pretty well.

Jacks lead 16-13 at the 11:00 mark.

                        Re: BISON: Offical Game Thread

Jacks playing okay, lead 26-15, should lead by more. Tendency is for this team to relax just before the half. Need to keep the pressure on. 8:00 remain in the half.

Jacks lead 37-26 under 1:00. Imming guessing 4,500 in attendance .

At the half Jacks lead 40-26, Andy Kleinjan has a nice 1st half.
