46-32 Jacks lead with 15:30 to play. Need to continue to be aggresive on offense but handle the ball, NDSU should start to press. Tough D needs to continue.

We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are.
Thats the final score, 78-59. Jacks controlled the entire game. Nagy mentions that Holdren is hurting due to mono. Conjures up bad memories regarding Matt Jones.
Need to roll into KC and stomp the Roos. Let go Rabbits!!
55 yard FG by Wilkens, Falcons lead 28-17 at the half.

UMKC is a reasonable win, looking at some of their games. If we show to play we can win that one.
Colorado and North Dakota St are common opponents, this game should show how we will do against the Buffalos.

NDSU had an early 11-6 lead, but the Jacks went on a 18-2 run to open a 24-13 lead. SDSU opened its biggest lead of the opening period when Andy Kleinjan hit his third three-pointer of the half with five seconds to play, making it 40-26 at intermission.
A pair of free throws by Ben Beran started the second half. Back-to-back baskets by reserve Michael Loney pushed the margin to 60-35 with 11:04 to play.
NDSU closed within 66-49 before Joe Green hit a layup, was fouled and added the free throw, stretching the margin back to 20 with 4:23 left.
SDSU had excellent balance, and the bench contributed 39 points. Loney, a redshirt freshman, hit all seven of his field goal attempts and was 2-for-2 at the foul line as he shared the team lead in scoring with Beran, each with 16 points. Kleinjan added 11, while Joe Green, Jared DeJong and Mackenzie Casey had eight points each. Green, starting the second straight game, led SDSU to a 43-35 rebounding advantage with 12 boards.

Went to the game tonight, the first half went really well, at times it looked as if the jacks of the past few years were playing as they had a nice flow. The second half got pretty ugly as the bison pressed and trapped and we had problems with it. Luckily they couldn't make a shot or it maybe would have been closer down the stretch.
Nagy was very frustrated on the sideline during the last 8 minutes or so, but sounded very (unusually) happy after the game.
I thought beran, green, loney, KLEINJAN, and CASEY all played real well, even Dejong had some nice offensive buckets. Gave me confidence as the sophomores and freshman really stepped up. Holdren has some very nice moves and elevates faster than anyone on the court, but did look very out of control a couple times. He had a sweet block on a bison fastbreak but was called for a ??? foul. The refs pretty much let them play all night.
Crowd was pretty pathetic and numerous people around us were conversating about this being our new rivals? they didn't have either of the end bleachers pulled out which made it seem a lot fuller than it actually was. A couple of times the students got into the game and started the lets go rabbits chant (still gives me goosebumps, which is great ;D) but other than that pretty quiet. The reserved section may have earned blisters as much as they sat during the game. Nagy commented on how much playing in front of a crowd helped the young guys so i guess even tonights was better than nothing.
All in all a great win, the women will take care of business next weekend and i will be cleaning off my broom for the trip in Febuary to Fargo. (Football, Volleyball and B-Ball included)

Yes, there is a story in the print edition. It is the lead story at the top of the front page of the sports section. The headline is "Jackrabbits thrash NDSU" with the sub head of "SDSU continues its recent domination of rivals."
I don't know why it didn't made the online version. The print story is positive. quotes Nagy on the importance of the good crowd, etc.
The second lead in the Argus this morning is about parents traveling to see their kids compete in Division one. The headline is "Worth every penny" and the subhead "SDSU Parents sacrifice to watch their kids perform." It has a picture of group heading to Montana State for the football game. and is a good article. This article is all about SDSU. A third article about parents following their kids to games is more general. It features Mark Miller's parents and others.
