      Nate is option number 1.

      Dykstra is option number 2.

Griff/White/Carlson are options 3-5, depending on who is hot. There is nothing wrong with that. Other than the first 2 options on offense, everyone else is a role player. If you think White or Carlson should step up ahead of Nate or Dykstra, then you are ... wrong.

When you have stud players like Nate and Jordan, you're going to have a good team. To be really good you need role players also, more importantly players that know their roles and do it well. I think we have that.

Where did I imply they should move ahead of those 2? They are very very very good shooters who I think are good enough to take more then 3 shots agame. I guess every one else is happy with them having limited roles but last I checked the team is sdsu jackrabbits. Not sdsu nates. If you think nate needs to take over 20 shots agame and play 40 minutes that's great. But I would like to see them team all play well and others help nate out a little. I don't see what's wrong with that.

Is it me? Or can anyone else smell deceased equine. Maybe we should beat it a little more to make sure it is really dead.

I like our offense the way it is (as I'm sure Nagy does too). Let shooters take shots open shots on kicks and good ball movement and let Nate and sometimes Jordan create. On a good team not everyone is going to get a bunch of shots every game. Saturday Chad was hot so he shot more. Other games Brayden will be hot so he'll shoot more. Every game though I hope Nate shoots the most shots since he is our best player. I hope most of his shots are on drives but let your best player take the most shots. Brayden and Chad are super efficient cause they only take good shots. You want them to be more aggressive which would probably lead to bad shots.

Oh and Brayden and Chad (and even Griff) are not that great at creating their own shots.

If you don't like discussion about the basketball team in the basketball forum, I'd suggest not clicking on the threads.

Lets start with the fact that neither of you are posting anything about this thread's topic, you know the SDSU vs. IPFW game. Setting that aside, you are welcome to post the same things over and over and over again, but you shouldn't be surprised or offended when someone calls you out on it. You two have been at this for two days now. It is clear to me and I am sure many others that you two are not going to see eye to eye on this one. But by all means please keep trying.

I've made four posts on the subject with the first coming at 8 am this morning. Almost two days though. Not offended; I just think your last couple of posts stink worse than IPFW.

Oh, and I'll also wager a guess that any offensive debate was more on topic than your posts and the wonderful discussion they generated.

Move on, people, we ain't going to win them all.
Well, at least we have moved past the whole needing a new coach and stuff. It's amazing how much better coach he is with some talent (please set sarcasm indicator to high for that comment). Have we improved? Brady Hokenson and Luke Geiver to Nate Wolters and Brayden Carlson? Yup, just a bit!

On to ORU Thursday! Now that is a big game!!!

Brady and Luke, those guys have not been a topic on here for some time. I agree, we have turned the corner in more ways than one. Hmm this recall post makes me think too about Joe Green, the guy who smoked and loved his booze, but played a good inside game. Also Ben Beran who really gave his all during the transition. These guys are the pioneers of D1 at SDSU. Many of these guys are quickly forgotten.

I was just thinking this weekend what this current team would look like if we had a ben beran on this current team. Loney is also quickly forgotten too but they stuck it out when a lot didnt or couldnt. a couple years ago we lost in the tourny to the dead elephants, we had talent on that team and 2 seniors who also went through a lot but just were worn down and out of gas after a long hard career IMO. I think coaching staff has grown along with keeping in bringing good talent also. that is why we beat IPFW the way we do. Would be nice if we could see these guys again in the tourny, hopefully would be another easy win so the first day of the tourny we could rest the starters a little more and get the bench some summit tounry experience.
