This would be a pretty cool tradition for the students to bring back.

Think blue suit coats, yellow ties, and the group could call themselves "The Gentleman Jacks" (if you are familiar with hard liquor, you may get the reference).

We always found ways to have fun. My buddies always took me "night golfing" after the bars closed. They were GDIs, so we always ended the night hitting golf balls at the fraternity houses at 3:00 a.m. Then there was the time . . .

It took SDSU a couple years to develop that 6th, 7th, and even 8th man that could be counted on...

I think the Jacks will have control of a good portion of the game and, aside from the first few minutes of the first half, will never really let the Yotes get anything going.
If they are like Feigen, Wolters and Callahan they will never see the except for timeouts.

Doing it all over again, I would have talked my parents into cosigning on a loan to get the funds to attend USD and major in accounting. If I had pulled that one off, I might be on the other side of the gym tonight.
We'd love having you. In fact, I will bestow an honorary degree on you and with it comes a prized USD sweatshirt. Welcome to the right side of the gym

If you throw in NC State, I would not be surprised if their biggest goal is to beat duke/unc as a major goal, possibly above winning a confrence title because frankly its going to be tough for NC STATE and everybody else in the confrence.

I have relatives that are NC State fans/grads and at least to them, Duke/UNC is secondary to winning the conference.

There are two very glaring grammatical errors in my second sentence. It should have appeared as follows: Yes sports fandom is an experience that you should be part of. Notice I had ARE and A. Boy I am ashamed of myself after all these years and I still make those kind of useage errors. Some of us never learn.

If the game was next week I will be stuck in an office and will be too busy to go to the game. I got the union cards at places other than USD so have worked in the accounting field for most of my adult years and continue as a part time tax preparer. I don't know if my loyality would have been that passionate if I had been able to attend USD. Giving money to SDSU Athletics has been a great Schedule A deduction. I guess it would have worked giving it to USD, but I leave that to CF, Yote53 and yoteforever to pick up that slack.

Well, relastic fans, maybe, but other fans, I have talked to a few who pretty much define it as their season if they can beat duke or UNC. plus if they dont win the confrence they can still make the dance. It would take a mircle to make the dance in the summit if you dont win the confrence. I think thats why its more important to mid majors to win because its your only ticket to the dance.

You could argue Zimmer's point either way. What I didn't like was the way he took on his colleagues by name. That's just unprofessional and a little childish, in my opinion.

Disagree. He was being just being clear. These guys had honest differences and they concisely explained them; why leave the reader guessing as to what they were referring to?

Exactly. He wasn't being disrespectful or childish and that way if he names his colleagues who he was referring to the reader could go read their articles and compare and either agree with him or disagree. Just helps the reader refer to who he was talking about.

Won't be for long. As most of us realized, this game isn't close.
