Nate Wolters, South Dakota State
Wolters has been the darling of stat wonks for several seasons thanks to his uber-efficient and productive style. He hit the national scene after he and the Jackrabbits mauled Washington in Seattle. They got a taste of the NCAAs last season (where SDSU scared Baylor) and has a good chance to be back in the dance in 2013.

Re: Naters Gonna Nate
I will never say that SDSU is equal to what Murray St did last year, but all the numbers and the recent history say the 12-13 jacks should be special..i know losing callahan is a big leadership loss, but now we have 4 starters returning that all have been just as far as callahan ever made it...with the addition of a true big considering he can hang and doesnt redshirt this team will be fun to watch.
Wolters will make everyone better.
Callahan offers versatility, especially when his shot is on.
Dykstra is already a good player but I think he begins to emerge as a great to outstanding player this year.
Fiegen has a motor that doesnt stop and if he becomes more effective thats only extra credit.
White should continue to advance and should be our sharpshooter.
Devine is an X-Factor...if he can contribute immediately this team is immediately special.
Prince is another X-Factor...his age and game smarts could lead to monumental growth and he could be this teams James Harden.
I myself can't wait to hear the country start chattering about "that school in South Dakota" and i believe this is more than "possible"...to me its "probable" and even teetering to "likely".
I think some of you hold alot of the same reservations but would be fun to hear all of your thoughts.

Re: Naters Gonna Nate
like i promised i will not make comparisons to murray state, but i will say that they got a 6 seed playing for going 31-1?! but they did it in the Ohio Valley...i feel there are 3 or 4 perennial contenders from the summit if they were transplanted to the ohio valley..I am hoping for around the 10 range...and 8 would be great but that is just wishful thinking, considering we make the dance again.

Re: Naters Gonna Nate
Just getting there again would be awesome, but why not dream big?
I agree about Carlson's importance to the team last year and he should be even better this year. If you add just a little improvement to all those returning players you can't help but see some amazing potential for this team. Horstman may step up and contribute as well. Look at how others (including Carlson) suddenly showed up in a big way during their sophomore year. With some help from Horstman and a litte production out of one or two of the freshmen, look out.
