Nagy is the coach of the year. Nate may lose out to DoMo or Reggie for POY, they are all deserving candidates. I, of course, think Nate is the most deserving. He is the complete package.

Coach of the Year should be what coach did more with less and whose team outperformed the preseason prediction and became a solid contender. That is what Coach of the Year should be not just who has the best record. As far as player of the year. It should be down to DoMo and Nate. Even though Hamilton is the nations leading scorer, his team is third in the conference and Wolters has more rebounds, more assists, less turnovers and is the only player in D1 to have 20+pts, 6+ast, and 5+reb. DoMo is good but disappears too much like he did against the Jacks at Frost Arena and Wolters has better stats than DoMo in literally every category and having the Jacks split with ORU should help Wolters win the Player of the Year award.
I agree the player with the best numbers wins the POY, as I stated, I didn't say specifically Wolters because everyone else had stated it. I stick by my coach of the year. The coach gets the talent and applies it. Sutton got the talent and applied it. It's connected. You can't hold it against the coach if they were voted preseason favorite, he still had to get that team ready and go play the games. "Well he shouldn't get COY, look at all that talent he has!" How do you think he got the talent? he's a good coach and recruiter. They won the conference and they split with State. The tiebreaker is State lost more games in conference. You can't call Nagy COY if he lost more games than the other Coach, just because they split. IMO.

As for DoMo, great player. I'm hoping he "disappears" for the tournament.

Nate has garnered another award - he is 1 of 10 players selected to the USBWA District VI team. Only 90 players in all of DI basketball receive this award and no other Summit League player was named to it. He was also the only Summit player named to this team last year.

It's time to add more icing on the cake by garnering a big dance invitation by winning the Summit tonight!

Looking back at the USBWA All-District teams from the last 10 years and there are only two Summit League players to be named - Nate (twice), and Ben Woodside.

So if he plays next yr like he did this year...he'll break the point total..he could possibly break the assist total..and he'd nee to work a little harder to break the steal total..

That is correct. Passing Don Jacobsen says a lot as well as Austin Hansen, Lee Colburn, Mark Tetzlaff. You have done it all when that happens to Nate. Naters gonna Nate.

Jake, did it in only 3 years, just like Nate so far.

As far as I'm concerned, Nate is already the best to ever play at SDSU.

You got to be an old guy like me, who remembers when eligiblity was limited to three years. The freshman game prior to the varisity game was a big deal back then especially when we played USD. Redshiriting was not often done unless for injuries or something or transfers. The game has changed but I have to agree that Nate is one of the best if not the best to play for SDSU.

USD GAME: Drinking at Horts in the afternoon, standing in the line to get in with a buzz, sobering up at the freshman (Bunnies) game, and getting hung over at the varsity game.
