Nate was named Summit League Player of the Week again. His 10th, which is the second highest total on record. http://www.keloland.com/newsdetail.c...medium=twitter

Excellent article about Nate. He does kind of sneak up you as an offensive player. I think he is a better defensive player than he gets credit for. He is a special player and I am very happy he chose SDSU to showcase his basketball skills.

Yesterday while ESPN was having their hoops marathon right before the big games in Atlanta tipped off they had a list of athletes I didn't catch what it was but Nate Wolters was on the list. Actually the only reason I noticed it was because my dad was talking to me and was like who is Nate Wolters, and I'm like huh? (he doesn't know much about college basketball), and hes like his name is on the TV and it says South Dakota St. and by the time I turned it up they had moved on. So his name was on ESPN.

So I subscribe to the CBS Sports College Basketball podcast and listen to it on my way home and it caught me a little off guard, but they did talk about SDSU and Nate for about 5 minutes in the 11-12-12 podcast. itunes has the podcast here if you are interested in listening.

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/...st/id268800565

They don't really talk about the Alabama game until about 25 to 30 minutes into the podcast. Luke Winn is a Sports Illustrator writer and was gushing about Nate's 30 point effort against Alabama, stating that Alabama has a top 10 defense the last couple of years and it should be no different this year. He said Nate was very efficient, going 10-15 and scoring 30 points and more importantly only having 2 TO's. He said it was a shame that Alabama had so few people at the game, he said Alabama should have marketed the game and educated their fans that Nate was coming to town and that Nate should be selling out arena's wherever he plays. Winn has him as a 2nd team All-American in his preseason team. Just thought I would pass that along.

    Go Jacks!!!

Downloaded the digital version of this week's SI to my iPad. There's a full two-page spread on Nate, along with spreads on the other two Future Game Changers. Full-page shot of Nate standing in snowy cornfield. Print edition should arrive tomorrow. Pick up a copy at your local news stand. It's a keeper.

TV posted this on Facebook a few hours ago: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/basketball/ncaa/11/08/preseason-all-america-team/index.html

    S
ports Illustrated named 10 players to their Preseason All American Teams. Wolters is one of them (second team). SI said, "He's the country's best do-everything point guard".

That was my understanding, too. The original word was that an SI photographer was in Brookings to shoot Wolters for a spread on the mid-majors. I'm guessing they shoot content for their print and for electronic properties as standard procedure. I'd look for the spread in SI's college basketball preview issue, which hits news stands this week, I think.

That is awesome! What a pleasure it has been to watch Nate and this whole team. We need to savor every moment of it! The best part is he is a great person off the court.

So glad Nate is Nating at SDSU!

The matchup between Andre Hollins and Wolters will be really fun to watch.

FYI: Andre Hollins is Minnesota's PG. A couple writers from the cities have already been discussing this matchup. Nate will probably have a tougher time though as last year they kept rotating their most athletic players on him and he wore out in the second half. It'll be a great test for him.
