ROFL. I left with a tired two year old during the timeout that DSU took about 20 seconds earlier....wish I would've seen it...

      Precautionary. He will play Thursday.

Well here is the lay of the land. BCS schools will play home and home with each other. BCS schools will pay mid-majors (SDSU) to play at the BCS but will not play at mid-major. Mid-majors will play home and home with each other. Mid-majors will pay D-2 and NAIA schools to get home games to help balance out the out of conference schedule.

There are a few exceptions to this, but that is the life of a mid-major.

It also helps the student athlete to play an NAIA game at home during finals week. You can not travel during finals week and you don't want a really hard game to prep for during finals week. You want your student athletes to focus on finals and just show up for the game without spending a ton of time preparing for an NAIA team.

                          That is my take anyway.

Still say if we have to play down in December to get some home games there is better competition that would be willing to come to Brookings. I think paying a few extra dollars to Augie or Northern would be made up in additional ticket revenue. Have to believe we could get more than 1400 for one of those schools.
