I would like to think I am not a notorious jack@$$ poster on here in the last couple of years. I've seen a lot of games in FB, WBB and MBB and posted a lot of insightful, truthful posts.

IMHO! Heads in the football program should roll. Today should not happen, ever. I won't even go to the Grizz website because they are laughing their a$$es off. Just like we should be. I don't give a flying eff if this is the first playoff performance in 30 years in a hostile environment. Hell, I picked Montana to win the game. Just like I picked the Gophers to roll over the Jacks. Both games were suck @$$ losses that should not have happened due to coaching. Once again, heads should roll.
You should be able to see then, that we need to play better than what we did on offense to win. We can't continue to play soft on the WR and expect to win. Sooner or later big plays happen and that's exactly what happened. Good fans would be able to see that.

Amen, brother! Amen! Stig has taken a D2 after thought and made us a relevant team in a higher division; and taken us to the 1st playoff game in umpteen years. I will be sad(or is that destroyed?) by this loss. But, from no shot in hell coming out of D2 to Fighting Tooth to Claw against what is considered the top level FCS program in the country. All on one of the lowest Athletic Budgets in the whole MVC. Well, we're just year 2 here people! I'm over it now! Imagine what Stig does as the budget increases and the facilities improve? This is clearly a fork in the road....does SDSU ramp up it's budgets and hit the pocketbooks of "us fans" or do we just stay the same saying "look how good we can be with what little we spend". I'm for choice #1. Let's get after this!!! We got a year to prepare and get rolling!!!!
P.S. I'm broke, but Roy said he's writing a bigger check so I'm covered
With fans like this who needs enemas.....

I can't begin to tell you how I feel right now, but I think this year's team needs a round of applause. Great effort throughout, and another year addition to the jackrabbit family. It hurts really bad right now, but I feel that there are many good years to come. We played great today for about 40 minutes. Everbody watching that game today knows that we can play with anyone in the country.

I will say one thing, if the posters over at eGriz are laughing, they didn't watch the same game I saw today. You guys have a hell of a team. I don't think either team was as good or bad as they showed in the 1st and 2nd halves. The Jacks took advantage of every Griz mistake scored 24 points off Griz turnovers. Once the Griz eliminated the mistakes they showed what kind of team they are.

I don't evny the SDSU coaches being in that situation and having to try to hold on to that lead. Once the tide started to turn and the Griz started their comeback, that stadium exploded. The Jacks were facing a huge uphill battle in that 4th quarter. Even though it was 6,000 shy of capacity, I've never heard that stadium as loud as it was today. Also, Mariani was a STUD today. Without him, the Griz lose this one.

What a game. I'm exhausted and have no voice left. I hope the Jacks fans that made the trip up had a great time, but I'm sure the outcome will make for a long trip back to SD.

          Good season Jacks!

This is ridiculous! Fire someone on the coaching staff that took us to the playoffs for the first time in 40 years?

WTF? Lighten up Francis! We all hurt right now, bad! It will pass!

Anybody remember how this team and staff were the best thing since sliced bread a week ago?

Trust me, nobody feels worse than the players and coaches themselves. My hope is this gives them the huge motivation to take things to another level in preparation for next year.

We all need to mourn this in our own way and move on. Some can do it faster than others. Some may never let it go.

Thanks to this team for creating some great memories!

We all need to write a check and mail it on Monday. The staff has done all they can do on their crap budget. Let's help them out.

Watched the first half on TV then had to get in the car to head home- I don't think it was safe for me to be on the road as Montana started to come back. I hate to say it, but more money and coaches would help. We lose Bailey- the qb coach and play caller- to private business and other coaches on already on staff are left to pick up the slack because of the timing of his departure. We have done more than most with less, let's see how we can do when we step up our $ and facilities.

Oh wow, I just got online again and was gonna come here to congratulate you all on beating Montana, only to find out that the game turned around in the later part of the game after I stopped hearing updates. I was listening to updates during the SIU game while at work today and was really hoping you all would pull out a win, and it sounded like you all were going to.... I'm bummed for you all, and I'd say your team put the scare in Montana for sure.

Untrue. We were up, what 21 points? Scored 31 some odd points in one quarter? It was his (and our offenses) game not to lose. Our defense gets one stop and we win the game. They were stellar all year, but they couldn't stop them when it counted. For the 1st time all year, our offense needed our defense to step up. Didn't happen. Not Meadows' fault at all.

Okay, I was ticked after the loss. But in reading some of these posts; you gotta be kidding me. Our offense and defense played STELLAR ball, you don't get up by 20+ plus points in a game by not "stepping up." The second half doomed us. A coaching staff as a whole needs to understand that this is FCS football, a step under FBS; you need to learn to go for the jugular! When Montana is scoring almost at will, you can play conservative and run draws first play and then put us in a passing situation where they can pin their ears back. Our offense was not be ran effectively, and as a result out defense was on the field for a LARGE majority of the second half. Yes they got tired, but so would any of us! FCS football is about winning, yes you need to develop players and individuals, but heck yes it is about winning, even if that means when you're up by 27 points you CONTINUE scoring. I feel horrible for the players of this team and understand the coaches do too. But they (coaches) need to take a long hard look at this game and the next time their in this situation, know they don't stop scoring, but rather ram the ball down their throats for 60 minutes of football....

Jacks, hell of a season. Can't wait for next year.

So I went to go watch 2012 to get my mind off the loss. As I was watching it, the scene where Los Angeles was falling apart and into the ocean kinda reminded me about our second half yesterday.

Sorry just trying to add some levity to the thread. Kinda off topic but that was a pretty decent movie.

I am in agreement with Asian Rabbit's post, though it's your first, I welcome to the board in event you just joined.

I am disappointed, but I woke up this morning about 3:00 AM and could not go back to sleep. Was I thinking about the game? No I was thinking about my bills, credit card debt, and how much the crisis in United Emertuis or Debuai will affect my IRA and if I live to be ninety will I have enough money. Though my geographic spelling leaves something to be desired, my ansomia thoughts were about real matters and not that disasterous ending of the game yesterday. A win or a loss would not have change the realities in our lives, and despite my personal concerns, I still have a great deal to be thankful for. We should give thanks every day for what we have and the people around us who make our lives more richer in quality.

Btw, thanks coaches and players for a great season. Like Asian Rabbit, I cant wait for next year's season of football.
