After the work he did to speed up his return time table for the wrist injury - you certainly can't count out Mr. Crawford. Here's to his work ethic.

Watching practice yesterday, because that's what some of us retired folks like to do every now and then. Ryan Crawford didn't look comfortable going through the drills in practice yesterday, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Crawford not in pads on Saturday.

IMO, I would rather have Crawford available for the UNI game. TOB is going to be fine against the Bison. If it were in Fargo, I may have second thoughts. I like the fact that we have 2 (and possibly more) QBs that can win games for us. The future continues to look bright.

Interesting that arguably the two best Bison defensive players are sophmore Preston Evans from Sioux Falls Roosevelt and Coulter Boyer of Hurley. I wished they would have been Jacks and maybe so do they based on the last couple of years.

I was really looking forward to seeing our O-line and Paschall against your defense this year, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. It will STILL be a dog-fight. Should be a fun one to watch. I love the outdoor, game experience under the lights at CAS. If the last two years are any indicator, it will be a great game. Best of luck. May the best team on Saturday win.
I totally agree that it will be a great game...maybe even...A WHALE of a game!

                Latest forecast for Saturday:

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 47.

Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 33. 100% chance of pain.

I watched the game a couple of days later and I did not see a single official hold, false start, throw the ball beyound the line of scrimmage, thru a punch or anything. It was the teams that tied the MVFC record for penalties. The officials simply thru the flags and told the audience that the players did wrong.

I'm just saying those refs have set the MVFC record for penalties three times this season. According to coach Bohl, officiating is becoming a concern in the league, and currently every official is under review for the rest of the year.

I can almost believe it. I think it was our first home game and there should have been two horse collar tackles called but neither one was. We were starting to question if that was called in college until the next weekend when it was called. But I really want to say they are horrible each way. I don't think they are horrible against one team. There are always going to be calls the fans for one team think should have been called and vice versa. I just want the game to be played and no injuries to occur (and of course the Jacks win).
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

I agree, they are bad both ways.

A direct quote from WDAY Bison Feedback Oct 13,2009. I think every school in the MVFC has this right in evaluating officals. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the evaluation is on the agenda at every conference meeting. It would be interesting to see the tabulation of these evaluations. Are there officals that are not asked to come back and officate the following year? My guess is that there are very few as one school can mark a ref as being the greatest and the next will say so so and the next horrible and a fourth real bad, but these negatives and positives often offset.

To hear NDSU callers to the Bison Feedback show say that SDSU got two wins due to bad officating is ridiculous and absurd.

Is this not what are refs are getting paid for? Maybe an alternative would be the procedure used on the Millionaire, when a contestant is stuck for not being certain of the right answer. The contestant then asks for a poll of the audience for the right answer. Maybe Daktronics could come up with a devise that do the same thing and the refs if not sure of a call could ask the home crowd for a vote. I know I am getting smacky, but I think its fruitless to go on and on about bad officating. BTW rep points given.
