      Special teams: Kickoffs A / Field goals C- (Can't miss 32-yarders.)

The defense was just spectacular. The offense, in the first half, was unimpressive with three, I believe, thee-and-outs against a truly bad team. Got things cranked up after halftime.
The strength (it there is one) of Indiana St. is their defense. We put up more points than FBS Louisville did. That said, we played poorly in the first half. I was disappointed in the play calling when it was 3rd and less than one from the 12 and we throw and incompletion then miss a FG. I would like to think we could have ran it twice and got the first down. Then go in for 6. We're going to need to figure out how to finish drives.

Our D in playing great. Finally, this is what we've expected the last two years and they are coming up big time. Fun to watch.

I'll agree with you on that one. They showed times of being able to stop the run and they did put some pressure on Crawford. Their offense had spurts, but it just doesn't look good.

What are the chances the coaches went into this game wanting to show as little as possible on film for future teams? While I don't think they held anything back during the week of prep (Hopefully that lesson was learned a few years back) They could have been calling very vanilla plays at the start to feel out what could or couldn't work. Coming out of the second half, adjustments were made and the game changed.

I also think there were about 6 offensive plays that changed the tone of the 1st half. There were several times where a block was just not completed, or a guy got tripped or the defender just barely got a hand in that kept a big play from happening. One or two of those turn and we are talking about OBrien playing a good portion of the 3rd quarter also.

The upcoming weeks will be the true test of whether the Jacks are a good team or not. All signs point to yes, but the MVC is a beast.

How many picks were dropped? Can't do that against the good teams.

I can only remember two. One was on fourth down and Kjerstad dropped it, but it didn't matter since we took over with better field position. The other was on the next Indiana State drive and Kjerstad dove for it but it slipped out of his hands.

That had to be the most unimpressive 41-0 game I've ever seen.

A combination of their putrid offensive and the Jack's stout defense and wow, 90 yards. I have to say I was a little disappointed at the Jack's lack of sacks this week after last week's showing. There were two dropped picks, but I think the one on 4th down was intentional. Conrad had to be looking at the endzone to have dropped the other.

The coaches I would say were a big culprit of the snoozefest we saw on offense. Play action with ISU keying in on the run more than two times the whole game would have been a lot more effective and loosened up their defense a little more.

The pick Crawford threw was awful, otherwise he was pretty good again. It doesn't hurt him Steffen and Fox seem to catch everything thrown at them. I'd like to see more of Rollin. He and TOB had the nice little hookup that got called back for holding. The o-line seemed to be a little lackluster and it seemed a little odd that Minnet was getting run down a lot when he tried to slide to the outside. Give their linebackers and safeties some credit on that.

I'll give their defense some credit, but the Jacks offense was just a little stagnant. Need to come out next week and strike early and often and not wait until they get their backsides chewed at halftime to come out and look alive.

I'm sorry, but our crowd blows, thank goodness for the band. When it's a three point game late in the second quarter and they are on offense, make some freekin' noise. I had a buddy get told to sit down when he was standing on a third down. Joke. Cole Brodie signaled to the crowd to get up and make some noise and about 100 people did, how does that look to the players? These next three home games are likely to be a lot closer and worth a lot when it comes to playoffs. We as fans need to make CAS a huge homefield advantage.

yes. the word around the league is your crowd isnt the best.
is this trickling down to recruits?

It doesn't appear to at this point. They are the 18th ranked team in the country.

The team came out flat, so did the crowd. Fired up play on the field will usually result in a fired up crowd. It would be nice if the crowd could provide a lift more often.

Meh, wasn't really surprised about the lack of sacks, they only throw about 20 times a game.

I was on the 50 yd line on the east side for both games so far this year.

I thought vs. Georgia Southern the east side did a decent job standing up and getting loud.

Last night, the east side was horrible. No one stood or made ANY noise on the 3rd downs the entire night, save for us very select few. And I'll admit, I didn't stand, but I sure did yell and make noise.

If the crowd's flat, it's probably because the team's flat. It's my experience that SDSU crowds won't try to 'get a team going' and they won't make much noise during blowouts.

I think the lack of emotion in the crowd simply reflects the fact that nobody ever thought the game last night was in doubt. Not for an instant.

That is quite possibly the case.

It was quite interesting watching the ISU sideline. Very little enthusiasm once they got down 17-0. Talking to dad and brother after the game, we just couldn't fathom how there could be any drive in the players anymore, getting smacked around for so many games.

Gotta be very frustrating to the defense to do a half decent job (first half) and not get any support from the offense. Again.
