I guess this evens out the breaks a bit. A game that SDSU had no business winning last week against Stephen F. Austin and they get that one. In game today where McNeese got lucky where they were a dead team walking on the 4th down play turns into a win for them. A fortunate win followed by an unfortunate loss.

Reason: Agree, but keep seven words off board.

What the hell are we doing running a end around on the 2-point conversion. It's 2 yards...dig deep and grow some balls and get it across. Meadows needs to learn that and the so does Stig, who has the final say in what we do.
Yeah, that reverse was not so good. That was one heck of a game. Yes, SDSU had a couple chances to win it in overtime but the result didn't turn up our way (If you stayed around while the Jacks players were walking off the field, you would have seen Jimmy was the last player walking off with Coach Stig---Jimmy was very upset with himself and we don't need to pound it in on him here). There were chances during the regular game we could have stopped McNeese but overpursuit allowed first downs. SDSU should have came out of the game with a win. We just have to prepare for the Cal-Poly game and get healthy.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--
good game jackrabbits. your team put up a valiant effort and left it all on the field.
Thank you crossfire and the best team today won. Congrads to the McNeese Cowboys on the win.
Sometimes Cowboys are faster on foot than on horse back. It sure looked that way to me. Also SDSU seems to have big problems with running and mobile QB'S.
i dont think the refs liked us very much tho. those penalties on the center were a joke. the line had not even got set time they called whatever it was they didnt like. but anyways, y'all seem to be good people and i wish you all good luck the rest of the year.
Great game on both teams part. I wish the JackRabbits good luck and success the rest if the way. I know how you must feel. I felt the same in 2006 when Parker Douglass hit that field goal in Cowboy Stadium with 14 seconds to go.
You guys left it all on the field and deserve tremendous respect. You have a GREAT team. Go out, get healthy, and beat Cal Poly. I saw them play live two weeks ago and you have the team to beat them!
McNeese has an amazing offensive team. They're going to win a lot of games this year. It seemed like they could get six yards any time they wanted to. That second overtime fourth down was a heartbreaking play, but a great one by Whitehead who couldn't have even seen that ball as it tumbled towards him, but he made a play anyway. Amazing play by a great player.
That's the best offensive football team I have seen at Coughlin. McNeese may or may not have enough defense to make a run in the playoffs. But I'd say there is little doubt that McNeese is a top-five team nationally.
By the way, Jimmy Rogers was sitting on the sidelines at the end of the game just devastated that he couldn't pull in those interceptions in overtime. Jimmy is a great player who gives it everything he's got on every play. I'm grateful for every opportunity I get to watch that young man play. He epitomizes the gutty nature of this team. Everybody needs to remember what kind of player Jimmy is. Nobody could be more disappointed than he is. I'll say this though: My money's on Jimmy to have a monster game in two weeks against Cal Poly.
