That is why they lined up Koenig at QB a few times last year and would be nice if we had a someone who could do a similar thing this year. (Jeske??)
Berry ran it twice last year on that stretch play. Once for a first down... it wasn't pretty, but he got there. Jeske ran a couple of times last year, too. I agree it would be nice to get Jeske in there now and then just to change things up a little. I think we'll get Minett going tonight and then open up the playbook a little.
    Holy nutmeg!

I too am curious to see what Jeske can do. SDSU seems to have few running QB in the last twenty years. So if Jeske is our candidate for that role, bring him on. I think the most hidden detail about the YSU-Ohio State game is that OSU had four FG's and if you tie that in with what Coach Stig said in show about YSU, SDSU could be in for a real big battle even without Savage.

You hold Ohio State to field goals and you must have a strong defensive front.

Could someone in the know remind me if cowbells are allowed in the Valley or not?

Yes that was what I was hinting at in mentioning the 4 fgs.

Ohio State can't move the ball on OHIO right now!! I realize the Buckeyes will probably come out and put if 50 in the second half, but what if they just aren't as good as everything thinks... In that case, Youngstown got man-handled by a far less superior team than the media makes them out to be!

                  I guess we'll see in 11 hours.

I am kind of with you Jacked. People that were ripping SDSU for the loss to ISU were also basing it on the ISU of the last 2 years. Who knows if they are better this year. OSU has been fairly over-rated the last few years, maybe they just aren't as good this year.

In the end it was still a fairly impressive effort by both defenses. To borrow a phrase, it should be a whale of a game.

                    Re: Youngstown State

OSU takes a punt return to the "hizzy". Could have been tackled by the punter but Ohio's punter is built like Norm from Cheers.

Man, my math has been out of this world on this thread. I don't care how much calculus a guy can do its always the easy stuff that kills ya.

What is the weather like in Brookings right now. It is raining in Colton.

                        Are cowbells allowed?

Why wouldn't they allow cowbells? There is no conference rule about that.

It is raining and thundering and lightning in Brookings. And there is wind and it is cooling down.

Rained a little bit, but it seems to have calmed down now. The Huron radar seems to show that most of the serious rain has moved off to the east for now. Apparently it might get rainy again sometime after 7 or so.

Evidently someone made a rule that cowbells were not allowed. Big sign at the entrances.
