I stand corrected. I hereby sentence myself to three epic scoops of the heartiest SDSU ice cream as "punishment"

Guess that means we'll hear something soon.

i would have to look back at my post- did I include Minnet? perhaps Minnet was here in the time Eids went to SWMSU? but I grew up with Eids and used to talk with him pretty regular. I know he coached Ranek, because we had an awful lot of conversations about Ranek and how special he was. this is off the topic and I know i have said it before. i will still put Ranek with anyone we have ever had. I would have loved to see Josh playing with the defenses and the O Lines we have had the last many years. i feel like the signature play of Isaiah's career was the run in the first championship game (which was unbelievable!!). I feel like Ranek never had near the line and he made a handful, at least, of those plays every season.

              getting back on topic

I give Riggs the slight edge as my 1 choice for 2 reasons
              1. connections to current and near future players
              2. fresh ideas and fresh perspective

disadvantage for Riggs- if he gets back into coaching, I believe he will be looking bigger and his stay with the Jacks would likely be short, assuming it is successful and I WOULD assume that. that said, I think we could have some good options for offensive position coaches who could learn from him and move into the position when he moves on

Eidsness deserves much more credit than I believe he gets from most fans. BOTH Eck and Lujan have at least some roots in the Eidsness offensive tree. Josh Davis is probably even more from the Eidsness school. as Jake, I think, pointed out, when Eids was coaching the offense here, we never had the complete teams that we have had more recently. he had multiple wins vs NDSU in a time when we really were not in the same league as they were in the trenches

I will be extremely happy if either of these two is the next OC

haha no idea who that would be. Smith doesn't seem to have done any tweeting/retweeting since December.

it could be the Vandy guy. He added Zimmer to his follow list. Like i said before, either he's coming or Dan has really made an impact in this man's life.
so the Vandy guy's last follows: Zimmer, Castora, JI, Angel, SDSU athletics page, a random 3 star recruit/portal player, JFPA, SDSU Football. He could just be following the things that mention Dan in his feed as he sees them.

additionally Eidsness is the person more responsible than anyone for the beginning of SDSU as Tight End U.

if this turns out to be true, perhaps Mr Goedert can reach out to Baker and Stoffel and other TEs and confirm the role of Eidsness in his growth from an athlete / basketball player to an NFL football player

                        Excellent point.

I don't understand the ardent opposition some have to him. Sure, he could falter, but he could also contribute to production we've become accustomed to, if not better

Three ACL tears. Seems like a coach who can speak to perseverance

Maybe it's a package deal. Wilde and Beerntsen for Christian Smith.

                            • I think JI might have just followed Christian Smith. not sure if related to anything, maybe just all the NU news
Any interest in an 0-12 Kent State DC who may have just followed Eidsness? He still might be employed by Kent State at the moment. There's familiarity in the MVFC. Name is Kody Morgan (kent state page). He coached at NDSU for 4 years

Still one Stig tree assistant away from the three Stig alluded to on Happy Hour, so Smith would fit that bill.

Isaiah Jackson could potentially because I think Stig mentioned that Jacks fans know three prospective hires
