Eventually Jimmy is going to run out of scholarships and maybe figure out there are recruits in his new backyard. In the interim, he has devastated our 2025 recruiting class and roster. I think many of those players that have followed him will be in for a rude awakening. I have to believe the players who stayed and the administration are pretty pissed off and motivated.

Pretty mind blowing. He acted like the only players left in the country were the ones on our roster. I keep forgetting how many he actually took, then I scroll through the blog of JI and the "Players transferring to WSU" takes up half the post.

WSU must have scholarships to burn. They took Jack Stevens along who still has 3 or 4 years to play plus now add a freshman-to-be kicker. Have to think that the Iowa kid doesn't go half way across the country without a full ride.

I think there is a fairly sizable chunk of players in the transfer portal as a whole that this happens to. The whole "grass is greener" phenomenon is real but many times is not reality. The truth is most of the time the grass is not greener. I'm betting a lot times these players are getting sold on things by people that just do not have their best interest in mind (coaches, agents, etc.).

Based on the public quotes by some of the players and Stig I am sure this is accurate. Chase Mason sure seemed to bite his tongue when Gaskins asked him if he was angry with Rogers.

I have decided to take my frustration out by contributing to the NIL. I truly believe we have a much better coaching staff now then before and we will recover from this.

                        I absolutely agree with this.

It'll be interested to see how things go for Rogers as WSU. He won here with largely a whole slew of recruits that weren't solely his or the coaching staff. Does his success here translate into success at WSU? Time will tell.

                        • Schlimgen to WSU. Disappointing. I hope Rogers and his staff never set foot in our state again.

As far as these recruits, I do wish them well. I think some will find out though things out there probably aren't as great as they're being sold and hopefully some make their way back here.

                          • Rogers should be removed from the history books

                            • No amount of Zimmer articles/media shaming is going to change my mind on this subject. This could have and should have been handled differently.

                              • Thats (28) players including (12) 2025 recruits heading to Washington State. Imagine Josh Wedel from Chaska and Travon Pankey are gone too and that's it. Ironically Jimmy had his sights on even more SDSU players. I know the coaches are doing what they can through the portal and some 2025 DII recruits, but will have to pivot to 2026 pretty quickly. I'm sure the Rogers apologists will continue to advocate nothing wrong with what he has done to the program.
