    USD was returning 4 starters on what was going to be one of the top OL's in FCS. 3 of them have hit the portal in the last month. Bouman is a good QB, but mobility isn't one of his strengths. That may be tested this fall.

    This is big. USD also had more starters enter the portal today. I really thought they'd take another step forward next year but looking like the opposite is happening down south.

    Jacks get a big commit from SF Washington WR Jhace Woods. Latest in the string of the best WR's in South Dakota to be Jacks. Had offers from NDSU and many other FCS schools. Looks like he was being recruited by Iowa and Washington State.

    What are your thoughts on potential differences in football versus basketball coaches' "systems"?

    For instance, I'm curious about the interplay among coordinators in football that isn't as prevalent in basketball. If those differences are valid, one would expect that a basketball coach's system, and players' congruence with it, may contribute to greater susceptibility to try to "follow" that coach.

    I want to believe it, but only time will tell if we can overcome all the losses without surrendering any ground for this year. but in the long run, I believe the coaching staff could be better than it has been in a while

    Can't say I know Wilkinson enough to say one way or another, but I'm guessing Coach Jackson's recruiting process has at least some influence, and he's been very open about Jacks program and culture being an "easy sell"
