Thanks for the reply Mr. Tibbs.

Well I was finally able to contact the ticket office. They said I had two accounts and I was logging into an old account. Not sure why I have two accounts, but I got my tickets and they merged the accounts so hopefully this won't happen again.

      • Just got an email indicating a donor purchased a limited number of complimentary tickets that are being temporarily offered to season ticket holders through tomorrow at noon. Appears the seats are in sections 116, 200, and 208.

Email details ordering procces as well.

That is certainly a factor and a very big one but there is a lot more to it than that. We have to be better against him than we were against the Holy Cross QB.

This should be a fantastic game. They beat us 31-17 in their house last year.

Here's my $.02 on keys to game::
          1. This is in our house. Granted we probably won't have it full which sucks but it is still our home advantage. That sure beats going against the 20,457 that they had at the game last year.
          2. Our defense is a different animal. Bock should be back this week. Which is a huge boost. As menioned above, we need to limit their QB.
          3. The Jacks are relatively healthy coming in which is way different than most years. That is a huge factor.
          4. The offense has the tools to be efficient in this weather.. Getting the run game going would be huge. Our TE's caught 3 balls last week. They should be a huge factor in the conditions Saturday. Those two happen it creates opportunity for the Janke's. Finally, the play calling needs to be aggressive. When the calls get conservative they also get predictable. Utilize all the weapons and keep MSU guessing.

Then it comes down to all the cliched things like turnovers, special teams, penalties,etc.. The Jacks haven't played a complete game yet. They've been building towards it. Saturday would be the time to do it.

They have an incredible opportunity on their hands. Loved seeing the donor offering free tickets. We are bringing 16 people to the game that hardly ever attend. Time for us fans to do our part!

THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE BEEN BUILDING TOWARDS! THE SEMI-FINALS IN OUR HOUSE!

Let's take care of business this week and earn the trip to Frisco! I hope the Bison win too. Beating them for the championship would be perfect!

100% on all your points. Be aggressive on offense and put points on the board. Play to win instead of not to lose, be balanced and give Davis some room to operate.

Kittens are going to score, we need to keep pace. We have a huge edge in tight ends and receivers, use them.

The MSU defense isn't as good as last year and we are at home. Like everyone has said, being at home and rested is HUGE.

            • Our d-line needs to control the small but athletic msu o-line for us to win. We will probably have to have our d-ends play a little more to the outside than we would against a team like ndsu, as msu likes to run to the perimeter. This will put more stress on our dt’s and inside linebackers to control infanse up the middle.
I could easily see this game simply coming down to who wins the 1 on 1 battles in guys getting off blocks and the unblocked defender simply making a tackle. Things we struggle with against HC

              • I am not worried about attendance anymore. What will be is what will be. Those that are there will make their presence known. Those around us in section 118/119 were hootin' and hollerin' every play against HC... So the old fogey season ticket holders don't show up? Did they make that much noise anyways? The 6500 in the stands last week were consistently louder and more engaged than any 18,000+ crowd all season that I saw.

Montana State is playing good ball right now. It's gonna be a tough game, that's for darn sure. Somewhat containing the Mellot/Chambers/Ifanse rush attack will be absolute key. I'm glad HC exposed us a bit, because it was a rude wakeup call and I believe Rogers will make the necessary adjustments. They play some cutesy football on offense, oftentimes simultaneous 2 QB looks, and it has obviously been working for them.

I'm not putting too much stock into both performances from last week. Oftentimes a team without much of a recent test comes in playing too overconfident, and one with a wakeup call turns things around. Obviously sometimes a team playing awful hot stays that way too. The good thing is.... we're only 3 days from having an answer.

Last year I watched the SDSU-Montana State game in the hospital the day after my daughter was born. This year, I'll be missing part of her actual first birthday to attend the game... much to the annoyance of my wife. Just a few more years until all the RahRah Jr's get to come to a game in this kind of weather!

Any word on which slow and southern-based conference the reffing crew is coming from?

                • obviously i cannot say for sure how jacks fans in general remember the game from bozeman last year, but it feels like people kind of think the jacks got dominated

                  FWIW
the jacks outgained MSU by 30 total yards for the game and had 2 more first downs

as i recall, i would say there were a handful of HUGE plays in the game that mostly went in favor of MSU. some of them the jacks had more control over than others and those were the plays that more or less determined the game

first huge play on the jacks first possession they drove inside the MSU 10. went for it on 4th and 1 and ID got stopped for a 2 yard loss

as i recall i dont think the jacks did anything terrible but they did not do the job well enough to stop MSU from making the play. i was happy the went for it and would probably be in favor of going for it again. a TD there, i believe, changes the game in a HUGE HUGE way
that said even 3 pts on that drive might have changed the game
hopefully a play like that goes in the jacks favor in DJD

next big play and, maybe the biggest play of the game

on MSU drive following that stop. MSU goes 3 plays gets a first down. NEXT PLAY, Stalbird forces Mellot to fumble at the MSU 36
jacks had a good shot to get the ball in MSU territory and have a short field and get the first score
instead the ball takes a very MSU friendly bounce and MSU keeps the ball
2 plays later Mellot throws a 64 yd TD to put them up 7-0

honestly those 3 plays probably decided the game. the jacks could have easily been up 14-0 but instead were down by 7

i have a LOT of thoughts about those 3 plays but i will not go into all of it now, but i think the jacks have to control what they can control and i expect them to get the first down on 4th and 1. i also want to say i expect them NOT to give up a big play over the top. this year, however, our defense has been incredible but our pattern has been to kind of give up ONE BIG PLAY per game, usually in the first half. it works out fine because most of the games we have given up very little else. on saturday i am fine either way, if we give up one big play and little else OR if we never give up the big play but we do give up some yards and even some points while making them put together LONG drives every time and earn every yard
BUT we cant give up both the big play and multiple sustained drives

after they took the lead on the big pass
Jadon returned the kick to almost the 50 followed in a few plays by Pierre 44 yd TD tie game. two big plays in our favor that we created for ourselves

we held them to a FG and then scored a TD to go up 14-10. eventually ended up tied at half 17-17

after some stops by both D they scored at end of 3rd to go up by a TD

then the final game deciding play. Chris throws an interception they return it about 20 yards to about our 40. and this was NOT repeat NOT an interception where the defender MADE some great play. this was a self-inflicted wound that you cannot have and definitely not at that point of the game

that sets up a short field for the TD to go up two TDs with about 10 minutes to go

our offense played under the gun and their D played very aggressive the rest of the way and that was the game

i really think the biggest play of the game was the fumble that bounced back to them. a short field there probably gives us the first lead instead of them getting it a couple plays later. if you couple that with us taking care of business on the 4th down play a few plays earlier, the jacks had a great shot to start this game ahead 14-0.

but that is a play we have ZERO control over. great play by Stalbird to give us a shot to get the ball on a short field. it didnt happen so you gotta play on and control what you can control

which makes the other biggest plays in the game us failing on 4th and 1 when we could have gotten on the scoreboard first
and the interception which set them up to have a more than one possession lead for the first time for either team in the game (Chris actually played a good game minus that one throw)

ANYWAY, i just felt like some people thought we got kinda dominated in that game. YES MSU had some good moments. SO DID WE and if we take care of our own business on just those two plays, which we are more than capable of doing, then most likely the jacks go to friscoe last year

i believe the jacks will take care of their business this year

MSU definitely leans on the outside run, but it still remains a matter of each of the 11 players doing thier job. our coaches talk constantly about knowing and doing your run fit. on the first big TD by Sluko our MLB was out of position. give some credit to HC. they had a good scheme intended to put us out of position and it worked

but they had ZERO success with anyone other than sluko running. i very much believe the jacks FIX this and return to doing a really excellent job of everyone being in the spot they are supposed to be in

another thing i believe the jacks have been excellent at this year is pressuring the QB WITHOUT giving up running lanes. this was another problem against HC and another problem i believe the jacks straighten out for MSU

MSU is very good. Mellot and their other runners are very good. they are definitely going to make some plays. it is gonna come down to who wins more of the 5-10 plays that decide the game and i feel confident that will be the jacks

I’m driving four hours solo to be there, not sitting by anyone I know, and expect to have a great time. Come on all you tv watchers that live closer!

                          • 3 major differences between last years game against Montana State and this year. SDSU didn’t travel to 4 different time zones in 4 weeks, it’s at home, Troy Andersen and Lance McCutcheon are in the NFL. Those two completely changed the game last year as did Nate Stewart who graduated last year

                              1. Run the ball successfully
                              2. Throw the ball successfully
                              3. Score TD's
                              4. Stop MSU players from running the ball
                              5. Stop MSU players from catching the ball
