There is a reason their prior coach left for a 4-8 ACC job and no conference wants them. UCONN's coach just publicly called out Jimmy and their staff on twitter for trying to poach a recruit.
It'll be disheartening to see former Jacks leave, but Jackson can mine the portal for some gems too, like Stalbird was years ago

    In McKnight I trust.

Grandma Stoffel said Davin wasn't going anywhere but is now in the portal.
I would be surprised if Large is back.

And they need a QB - that's going to take 25% of that to get a good one. And a few other skill position players will get a bigger chunk. What does that leave for o-linemen and rotational defensive players ? Maybe $ 25,000 ? Nothing to sneeze at, but what will it cost to get their family members to Pullman to watch their games like they do in Brookings ? It's a 19 hour drive one way. Plane tickets are close to $ 1,000, with a minimum of two connecting flights which means a full day of travel to get there and a full day back. Do that for 6 home games. And a lot of the road games for SDSU were within driving distance. Maybe my math skills aren't that good, but it doesn't seem to pencil out quite so favorably as you might originally think.
