  • Eidsness tweeted "Big fish jumping in" but there was no tweet from Jackson about a 2026 recruit, so I wonder if that means it is someone from the portal?

I saw that a DE from Bemidji State tweeted that he has offers from us and USD.

      • Really like some of the transfer options we have gotten at CB. Just picked up a commit from Jayden Oliver who was a starter for Buffalo. He had multiple G5 offers as well as USD, NDSU, Montana State. Also got commits from Isaiah Johnson who was a first team All-NSIC last year at Bemidji and Ernest Blackshire who appeared to have flipped to us from UNI. I was pretty nervous about this position, so it appears we now have some options along with the return of Myles Taylor.

        • According to Jackrabbit Illustrated, another grad transfer DB has been added. Zayid Aziz from Georgetown looks to have played both CB and safety.

          • Coach Dan Jackson and his crew appear to be doing a great job restocking the team, and the overall coaching staff might be better than ever.
            This space for lease.

I definitely have more faith in our offensive coaching staff compared to last year, but those defenses from the past few years are going to be hard to match.

I am not sure there is any need for the word might in this sentence. I think it is almost a fact. how many staffs have FOUR coaches on staff who could and maybe SHOULD be HCs NOW? and the rest of the staff appears to be loaded with future cooridinators and HCs. a talented and hardworking group!!

what you are saying is true!! at the same time it is ZERO reason to dislike the defense this year. your statement is true because the defense 2 years ago was arguably the best defense of all time, based on facts and evidence!!, and last year was probably only behind that by a small bit.

and as far as the coaches impact on that... it could be argued that it was all Jimmy. I am not sure anyone knows yet what Bobbit is away from Jimmy?? and was there any D position coach who seemed on the same path as a Jackson, Jimmy, Lujan, or even Bobbit? not that I am aware of but I am not saying there is not a good coach in the group

the young, new coaches, non coordinators this year almost all seem to have the potential of future coaching stars

Oliver must be the player Coach Jackson was meeting after DM Spring Game debrief. Sounded like Bison were the guy's prior visit

                    • The football team did a video introducing a few of the new players and one of them was Kevin Spelman from Valpo. Looks like he was second team all-Pioneer League in 2024. Either this is new information or I missed it earlier. Any depth to the D-line is welcomed. Earlier in an interview with Zimmer, DJ said he expects Reggie Kloehn and Liam Shaw to get opportunities as true freshman.

Looks like he can provide depth at long snapper as well.

                        • I haven't seen anything official reported by the SDSU football team yet, but a Wisconsin fans account on twitter reported that Nate White passed away in his sleep. Prayers to his family.

Chase Mason has also confirmed this. Incredibly sad news.
