Blocking TE is what we have in the transfer from Iowa right?

Guess he could surprise me, but I didn't see Thompson as a Morgan/Brenner-type TE.

We also have a couple incoming safeties (Bretz and Eben), but I figured one or both could change positions a la Stalbird (Eben's already listed as a LB/S hybrid)

Thompson ran a lot of down field routes on Saturday. He walks faster than Morgan jogged.

Favorite, he stayed through and worked his butt off in spring ball. I have a huge amount of respect that he did that and fromm what I've heard he was a wonderful teammate. Not that I'll ever meet or see him but I'd thank Tak wholeheartedly for that.

Right. If Henry passed him and he is now 4th on the depth chart it is hard to fault him for moving on.

Jack Amer in the portal. Looks like Jackson just started following a QB transfer from NIU, Luke Marble. Might be worth keeping an eye on.

In Coach Jackson's interview with Gaskins earlier this week, he said he was going to meet with every player this week. I'm sure he was honest about everyone's fit in the program going forward. Two QB's leaving likely means that there will be someone incoming.

Still four QB’s (Mason, Henry, Bell, Thue) on the roster, and already one signed for 2026. Wouldn’t be alarming if a transfer QB wasn’t brought it, knowing Chase has 2 years (right?), Bell is a serviceable back up, and Henry is showing promise , has a classmate alongside of him in the room and a highly touted recruit behind him.

Is Thue going to be ready to go right away ? If I remember correctly, he injured a knee in one of the NDSU games.
