Im coming. Took Monday off( easy for me since i make the schedule out). I also got a room at the Comfort Inn and Suites for $63. I booked it on Expedia. I had to pay for it when i booked it or it would have been $119.

Finals the next morning never stopped me from having a good time, haha.

I totally get that folks who live a couple hours away or that have young kids aren’t going to be able to make this work very well. Honestly though, with so many of our fans living in the Sioux Falls area, this should be really doable, assuming kids aren’t real young.

It’s definitely a late night though. Probably midnight at least before SF people get back. Not great.

I get all the reasons why it sucks, but it’s also the first ever national broadcast from DJD and it’s a quarterfinal game. It’s not ideal, but it’s not undoable either.

Let’s hope the Brookings locals bring the energy.

Looking forward to witnessing a thumping of the Salukis in a week
I think the SIU defense is what it is - they have allowed 44,30 48 and 31 in their last 4 games. I have confidence that the Jacks run defense will not allow an explosive performance. The pass defense will need to hold their own, and if they can do that, the Jacks offense has the ability to outscore SIU.

            I concur.

I'm also not sold on Stone's ability to continue chucking up "prayers" in the passing game and having them "answered." Having said that, I hope Coaches Bergstrom & Erickson really emphasize the importance of Jacks' DBs not bailing out the Salukis by committing PI/holding.

I've been waiting all season for a patented Ogunrinde strip sack or Backhaus pick 6; here's to hoping at least one of those, if not a stirring of the Krock pot, is in the hopper for ESPN2. Krolikowski can get the Saluki stew simmerin'

I'm thinking it'll be a 24-7 type game which'll only be that close because Stig will have subs in for at least a full quarter

              I certainly hope not (unless you're referring to a shrimp's one-year lifespan)

If our fans can pack the Denny for an 830pm Sunday/Monday or 800pm Tuesday night tip time for the Summit League tourney, no reason we shouldn't be able to do the same for this quarterfinal FB game, IMO. It's not ideal, obviously. But we've had plenty of late night drives home from SF after those games.

The chances of landing a #1 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs are an infrequent occurrence for SDSU and hopefully fans make every attempt to make it Sunday night. Weather, timing of game etc. are never going to be perfect.

I know some are complaining about the time, but think of this.

                    National Audience. Prime Time.

Yeah, I’ll be a little sleep-deprived, but you can bet your sweet bippy that I’ll tune in!

Preaching to the choir. What I'm saying is that I want the frequency to increase

A few factors that differ between the two include:
1). the ability to plan and budget hotel stays months in advance for non-Sioux Falls fans
2). commute for Sioux Empire fans
3). indoor versus outdoor game venue/amenities

I've mentioned in other posts that I'm not an avid fan of concerts, so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt -- there are few experiences I'll pay for that have the prospect of being more exciting than Jacks' sports, so no one has to twist my arm to attend.

I'll be there Sunday, and I'll inevitably have a hoarse voice Monday from cheering & hopefully helping contribute to mass Saluki confusion, false starts, and delays of game on offense. #2021Hill&HoundHatred

Salukis will have very depleted DL next week. Sullivan reportedly injured ACL last Wed.

I originally wasn't planning on attending this game because I will be in Kansas City next weekend. With the date and time changing I have made the decision to attend the game. Will I be tired? Most likely, but I wouldn't miss this part of Jackrabbit history! Part of my decision was knowing there would be a lack of fans due to the day and time. I want Jackrabbit Nation to have a good showing to a national audience. Monday will be difficult, especially starting at 6am, but I'll find a way to get through it.

I would like to point out most fans plan a year ahead of time to attend those games, not the week ahead. It's no secret Jackrabbit Nation is what has made the SLT. How many would have been there this year with no Jackrabbit team in either championship? There would have been a lot more blue simply because people plan way ahead of time to do it. I certainly thought about taking next Monday off, but I'm not sure I would get it approved with only a week's notice. I'm sure others are in the same boat.
