Fortunately in a few years the details will be largely forgotten. It's a win and that's what counts.

We did some nice things in that game but also have some opportunity to work on some things. ��

I am not even bitter that you are helping assure Big 12 quits scheduling FCS games like B1G.

THEsocalledfan's post about the risk of the Big 12 not scheduling FCS: reminds me of a columnist in either the Omaha or the Lincoln paper who had a tongue-in-cheek column 'what do the Dakota schools have against the Big 12?' It was after NDSU beat KSU, we scare Nebraska and there was another close one in there.

Listening to Stig's post-game with Tyler. He said a number of our guys were getting IV's at half time...lots of problems with cramping etc.

Stig said we came out of the game healthy. Some cramping. One guy got a stinger.

Kansas is going to have a long year but, to their credit, there was no quit in them for the entire game. Their coaches figured out the obvious weaknesses we exploited to drive that score to 31-7 -- and they found solutions. Hope the best for them this year.

Will be good to get into Coughlin next weekend!

Hey just having a little fun. I made a mistake by quoting SoCalledFan. I have no problem with that post or any of the other Bison post. The truth of matter is the Bison have a great deal to brag about and that does bother me, since I wish SDSU had the same. A three point win is not too convincing, but it's a win. KU might finally found a decent coach.

I suppose this will revive the questions some have about how we allow short passes. I think our defensive backfield is top-notch with plenty of speed, good experience and some depth. I hope the coaches find a solution to those dink and dunk passes that almost turned this one upside down.

Overall -- in spite of the kickoff return for a TD - I think our special teams had a good first game against some athletic guys.

looks like we have a couple of tight ends who are reminders of some great ones from a few years ago. Cam Jones looks healthy. Dallas Goedert's catch near the end may have been the key play to preserving our lead.

For a while it appeared the ball Lujan was throwing had helium in it: too high! But nice to see he pulled it together and overall had a nice game.

Weineke: the guy's proved time and time again that he's one of the best. And how about Wallace and Mengarelli.
